Chop House serves larger sharing cuts cooked on open charcoal grills, in Josper ovens or on spit roasts, alongside daily specials inspired by the best ingredients the British Isles have to offer. Join us from our 2 courses £30 or 3 courses £35 set menu. Stay away from this place, expensive place (+80£ pp without wine), average quality food and worst customer service ever had. Man served first instead of after the woman, had to call a waiter inside the restaurant because the two in the terrace were busy talking each other and attracted by the landmark. Got two medium well steaks instead of medium rare and I had to insist to get new ones cooked properly and complimentary dessert with spelling mistake in the plate. Bill with no discounts and service charge included despite the embarrassing experience.

Excellent Sunday lunch we had the roast beef dinner all served up by lovely staff Only criticism was we ordered bread and olives for starter but it arrived at the same time as the main course so we were unable to eat them and no concession was offered

Amazing place and the food was great. Had to fight to pay in cash - they would not accept it until I said my cash was in fact GBP Great British Pounds and that it was legal tender. I said I was entitled to pay in the currency of the country. They then accepted the money. Too easy to take credit card payments I’m afraid and some what ruined a great evening.

What went wrong? I have been to the Chop House before but this was a very disappointing experience. The service was horrible. we had to wait for a while to order. Ordered G&Ts with olives to start and then a main course. And everything arrived at the same time: G&T, olives and warm food within 10 min of ordering. The food was delicious but was it just warmed up? Whilst I was still eating my chips the waitress came and picked up my half eaten chip with her hand, took my cutlery to take my plate. She then did apologise that she didn't ask whether I was finished. The restaurant was empty so why the rush?

Good views of the Tower Bridge, but the praise stops there. The lettuce on my caesar salad appeared not to have been washed; my steak was overcooked; and they never brought the wine I ordered (but at least they removed it from the bill). Yikes - would not recommend.

The view is amazing. Roasts were a bit stingy on the meat. Bit of a case of tourist pricing. There’s better Sunday roasts in the area so you’d need to decide how important the view is to you. Overall. Quite average.

The pork belly was something I’ve never seen before. About 80% fat - not good at all. I ordered a medium steak it came basically well done. Our steaks came without sauce and fries which we had to then wait a further 5-6 minutes.

Roast dinners came out within 2 minutes, stone cold, tiny and a tiny amount of vegetables (1 small piece of brockley) between 2 ppl .

Went here for my birthday meal with my partner. Food was outstanding, the service was fantastic and the view from where we were sat outside was amazing. It really made my birthday eating here and our waiter and another waiter kindly brought over a delicious chocolate brownie with a candle and chocolate writing and sung happy birthday which was a really nice touch! Was also good value for how lovely the food, service and restaurant was
