Active and bustling, in the "Trattoria Style", this Woodbury location of Butera's offers quality food at a great value. Known for their generous portions of pasta entrees, grilled fare, and fresh fish, Butera's has established a fine reputation as a neighborhood place where guests often see people they know.

It is owned and operated by Martin Butera, his wife Laurie, Martin's brother Gary Butera, and partner and chef Nick Zografos. The large open room is tastefully decorated with a traditional and contemporary mix, with rich dark woodwork and stone treatments, granite table tops, a wood and granite bar, fieldstone and hardwood floors, stone fireplace, exposed wine racks and a Tiffany style fixture at the entrance. Fresh flowers complete the handsome decor.

In addition to their extensive menu you can select from the creative specials like Grilled Filet of Halibut with Prince Edward Island Mussels on a citrus rosemary butternut squash risotto.

The kitchen didn’t follow directions for our shared app. (Less cheese). My main dish was shrimp and scallops with pasta and some wine sauce. 4 shrimp and I needs a magnifying glass to find a few tiny scallops in the midst of a ton of pasta. Eh.

Food and service were wonderful as always. Glad this restaurant is open on Mondays, not many are.

Since it was a lovely day, we decided to eat outside. So nice! We asked our server for a sandwich whch we had always enjoyed but was not on today's menu. She asked the chef AND we got our favorite sandwich!! Excellent service.

Buteras is consistently great. We have been coming for years and find it well worth the drive from the south shore. Martin always takes extra good care of me. He even knows how I like my bread! See you again soon.
