Active and bustling, in the "Trattoria Style", this Woodbury location of Butera's offers quality food at a great value. Known for their generous portions of pasta entrees, grilled fare, and fresh fish, Butera's has established a fine reputation as a neighborhood place where guests often see people they know.

It is owned and operated by Martin Butera, his wife Laurie, Martin's brother Gary Butera, and partner and chef Nick Zografos. The large open room is tastefully decorated with a traditional and contemporary mix, with rich dark woodwork and stone treatments, granite table tops, a wood and granite bar, fieldstone and hardwood floors, stone fireplace, exposed wine racks and a Tiffany style fixture at the entrance. Fresh flowers complete the handsome decor.

In addition to their extensive menu you can select from the creative specials like Grilled Filet of Halibut with Prince Edward Island Mussels on a citrus rosemary butternut squash risotto.

Our waiter was perfect as was everything he worked with. Food was delicious. Even though we were sitting next to a parking lot, it was delightful

This is one of our, favorite places to come! The food quality is excellent, the service and servers themselves are great, and the owners are always circulating to chat with their patrons, ensuring that everything is going well. While everything on the menu is delicious, our favorites are the chicken meatball pizza and, of course, the cookie pie! We love eating here and love that it’s a neighborhood favorite too!

A consistently good and welcoming restaurant with good food and service with a smile. Chef and his wife come around to great customers is a really nice touch. (Personally would like to see placemats or paper on the tables -- just not sure how clean they are but that hasn't stopped me from frequenting this restaurant.)

The food at Butera was very good as usual. It was crowded as expected on a Saturday night, and it was extremely noisy. Our waiter was pleasant but seemed to be pulled in many directions. After we completed the entree, he eventually brought over the dessert menu as we requested. We planned to have a dessert and coffee. But he never came back to our table (which was in the middle of the dining area). After waiting at least 20 minutes, we decided not to wait any longer and asked another employee to get our waiter and the check. Eventually another waiter brought us the check. We waited again and after several more steps and different staff, our waiter brought the final check and credit card. We felt that we had been ignored and our dining experience ended on a negative note. P.S. I found that the polished floor was rather slippery.
