    Food was fantastic; server was odd and not very attentive. Definitely affected the ambience for us. (Don’t know his name; tall, male, red hair).

    Had an overall good experience. The food and drinks were great but service was a bit slow. I got seated 30min after my reservation time and didn’t eat until an hour later. The waiter seemed rushed and wasn’t very attentive.

    My wife and I went here for our anniversary dinner and this was our first time here. We arrived a few minutes before our reserved time and checked in at the host/hostess stand. It was a Friday night and the restaurant was super, super busy and there wasn't really any place to stand while we waited for our table to be ready. Luckily we only had to wait a few minutes before being seated. The ambience of the restaurant wasn't great. Aside from the large Buddha, the walls were mostly bare. Due to so many people being in there, it was extremely loud. My wife and I had to shout at each other while trying to have a conversation over dinner. It took a few minutes for our server to come to our table as she was busy, but the service was still good. It also took a bit to get our drinks due to how busy the bar was, but when we did get them, they were fantastic. However, our food came out quickly. We got a dim sum sampler for our appetizer and it was excellent! For our entrees I got the BBQ pork tenderloin, and my wife got the sea bass. The sauce used on the pork was very tasty and delicious, I was very satisfied. But the star of the show was the Sea Bass. OMG was it absolutely amazing! The fish was so soft and flakey and was simply decadent. Finally, we got a chocolate souffle for dessert and just wow! It was the perfect end to a great dinner! To summarize, if you are looking for a quiet and intimate setting to have a conversation over dinner and take some nice pictures, this is not the right place for that. But if you want some out of this world food and drinks, Buddakan certainly delivers on that! NOTE: parking is a challenge in this area of the city (Old City), so allow extra time to find a lot or garage for parking.

    Make reservations! Walk in customers might wait 90 minutes. With reservations we were seated immediately. Food was delicious. Service was excellent. Nice wines by the glass and cocktail list. No silly umbrella drinks. Overall a very pleasant experience.

    Overall a good dining experience . It was loud but I read reviews and was prepared to expect it. Ate the sampler appetizer and pad Thai. Left full and happy.
