Please join us for a Saturday afternoon at Buddakan NYC, where Executive Chef Zachary Taylor and Chef de Cuisine Tommy Sao will teach you how to make the restaurant’s signature dim sum using traditional Asian ingredients, techniques, and utensils. Each guest will be served their own dim sum creations, alongside a selection of house specialties, including: Pea Shoot Salad, Broken Chili Chicken, Sweet & Crispy Jumbo Shrimp and a variety of rice and Vegetable Stir-Fry; served with an assortment of alcoholic and NA beverages. Guests are invited to participate in this unique interactive experience and feast on delicious, shareable pan-Asian fare at Buddakan stunning downstairs banquet table. *Must be 21 years of age or older to participate.

We have been coming repeatedly to Buddakan for over a decade. Every meal until tonight has been simply excellent. Tonight the food was awful. The tuna spring rolls and the edamame dumplings were the only things that were up to par. Everything else was between mediocre and poor. Shocking. We had talked up Buddakan to our guest, who was also disappointed. We have no idea what went wrong. To be clear, it was the food that was terrible, not the service.

We celebrated my wife’s birthday at Buddakan, and the experience was absolutely fantastic. The team was incredibly helpful and accommodating leading up to our reservation, ensuring that the birthday cake was properly refrigerated and ready for the celebration. They were also very understanding when I needed to update our reservation multiple times. The food and service were phenomenal, making the night truly special. I can highly recommend Buddakan for any special occasion or a great dining experience!

The appetizers were so soooo delicious main course is more of an acquired taste personally I didn’t feel the mains were that great but the appetizers made for it , we went there to celebrate my in laws anniversary and I had placed a request in advance to make it special and they didn’t disappoint , this place is pleasing to eyes ,the service and the servers were amazing highly recommend going there for the ambience ,service and the appetizers lol

The food, ambiance, and service were underwhelming from arrival to departure. The host tried to give us what was probably the worst table in the place- a table that should not even exist. (It’s at the very entrance and almost out of the dining area altogether. ) We had a reservation, were on time and, it turned out, the restaurant was not full. The host did give us a new table (we asked nicely), but she was cold and unwelcoming. The waiter was friendly and helpful but didn’t ask for our drink order and disappeared after initial service. I suspect he had more tables than he could manage and was doing the best he could. The food was hit or miss- well prepared and presented, with reasonable portions (neither too big nor too small). Most of what we ordered just generally didn’t have enough flavor. The restaurant is modern and interestingly designed. Some of the lower area felt like a basement, however, in terms of space and lighting. Sitting at a larger table with a group in one of the more well lit areas would be a better experience (and would be an opportunity to sample a broader range of dishes.)

My experience overall was a great one! My only complaint would be about the women at the front desk. We had a reservation at 11:45 pm which we were running 5 minutes late for. I called them to notify them that we were right down the street and then they proceeded to lie to us and tell us that the kitchen was closing at 11:45 pm and essentially that we shouldn’t come. We were right down the street anyway and were surprised to find out that the kitchen does not close until 12:30 am. This was on Valentine’s Day too and was very off-putting. Otherwise our server was spectacular & food,drinks, and ambience were above average. Would definitely return.

It was Beautiful restaurant with amazing food. My waitress was exceptional and the ladies at check in were kind and informative ….all I can say is TOP TIER….!!!!!

Great place to see and be seen. Beautiful setting. Food was good though portions were rather small for the price. Overall a nice experience at an “in” place..
