    Went for wife’s birthday because they have lamb chops which my wife loves. Kelly our server arrived promptly. We explained that my wife has a lactose sensitivity so no milk products in any food could be tolerated. She was very knowledgeable and made some suggestions for alternative side selections. She was also very knowledgeable about the wine list and made some suggestions after my initial inquiry into a Cote du Rhône blend. She asked if I would like a taste and came back with the tasting plus two alternatives. We settled on the Cote du Rhône blend. The Thai shrimp appetizer we selected was excellent with a nice crunch from the preparation and cooked perfectly. We both had ordered the lamb chops medium rare. Mine were cooked nicely but the wife’s were medium. Instead of sending them back I swapped my chops for hers. Because the chops are individually cooked I suspect that this affected the cooking a bit. I seem to remember that last time we were there we received a rack of lamb, which in my opinion would be easier to control the degree of cooking. Overall they were seasoned well and tasted good. My wife had roasted fingerling potatoes. They lacked seasoning in my opinion. I had the mashed Yukon gold potatoes and they also lacked salt and pepper. My green beans could have had a better amount of seasoning but were cooked properly. We did not order dessert as we had dairy free torte waiting at home but Kelly brought my wife a nice strawberry and blueberry with mint sprig bowl and a side candle being that it was her birthday. She also brought a small glass of tawny port that was quite good and went well with the fruit dish. Kelly did a great job with service and overall the food was good. We don’t eat out a lot because it’s difficult to find choices that are milk free and servers who understand what lactose intolerance means ( they generally call it an allergy and then proceed to point out gluten free foods). But we will definitely be back.

    As always, great food, great service! Everything tasted phenomenal. I think it’s the owner. He is always there. Always checking on things.

    Our “go to” place to dine. We are from Novi and gladly take the 30 minute drive to the Brighton Bar and Grill. Never a bad experience in any of the categories. 5 stars in all of them. Thank you.

    The food and service is excellent at Brighton B&G. The scallops were terrific and the chicken mac n cheese was hot, creamy, and very tasty. Service is top notch. Make sure you get a reseration, it’s crowed with lots of people waiting and pretty noisy but well worth it. One of the best restaurants in Brighton.
