The staff/servers were all gracious and efficient - we have only positive things to say about all of the Brick staff. We inadvertently ordered the wrong alcoholic drink for one of our party, and the servers most graciously switched it for a different one. And some of the food was good. For example, the margarita pizza was fine, and the chocolate cake was delicious. Because of that, however, we were reluctant to return other items. — The coffee was bitter and undrinkable even with a lot of cream. (This despite the fact that we arrived when the restaurant first opened for dinner, so presumably the coffee should have been freshly made). — the BBQ chicken pizza was goopy and unappetizing. - the wine (not the house wine) was ok, but tasted as if the bottle had been opened for two days. - the butter cake with peaches had only a few slivers of peach (though peaches are still in season & would greatly have improved the overly sweet cake).

We were seated at arrival with no wait. Our waiter was courteous and attentive. The brussel sprouts were delicious (my favorite thing on their menu). Husband had the Ganon brick oven pizza and I had the smash burger. Food was served hot and was delicious. Wonderful date night.

The strawberry chicken salad was the best I have had all over Calvert. The waitress was very knowledgeable and attentive to our needs at our table. Will go back very soon!

My first time at Brick Wood Fired Bistro, and a very pleasant experience. The food was quite good (Smoked Salmon Bagel from the Sunday Brunch menu for me). The atmosphere was pleasant, and the noise level would make a WAPO critic smile (conversation was easy). The server was courteous, efficient, and quietly professional; she knew the product and did her job well. If I lived closer, I think I'd become a weekly customer of the Bistro. Unfortunately, I'm an hour away. The Bistro was, however, a perfect location for someone from the DC Metro area to meet friends from deep Southern Maryland.

We have the meatball and the avocado crab stack for appetizers and both were very good, especially the crab stack. Two dining companions had the Smashburger with fries and the strawberry salad, and both said their entrées, were very good. I had the short rib, which was OK, but seem to have been slightly overcooked, possibly, but the flavor was good. I do have one comment about the wine which is listed as a bottle, but came out in a carafe which leads me to believe it’s coming from a keg Instead of the actual bottle. That’s OK as long as the restaurant discloses it and lets the customer decide if that’s what they want. Also, we want to give a shout out to our server, Hunter, who was very patient with us. Overall, we had a very enjoyable experience and would go back.
