Food was amazing! Steaks, roast chicken, creamed spinach, mushrooms. Au gratin potatoes were delicious I just prefer cheddar on mine. Peanut butter brownie was a great dessert. Service was good, super friendly but not your typical expensive, steak restaurant with staff that has been serving decades. We sat on the covered porch which was nice. All in all, super impressed.

First time in Saugatuck and we tried out Bowdies ,for our anniversary and my wife’s birthday. The staff was excellent, very polite and efficient. Our waiter was engaging and helpful. We split the grilled Caesar salad, Russell, sprouts, and potatoes. My wife got the fillet and I got the bone in fillet. Everything Was delicious that night and the following morning. It is a bit on the more expensive side, but the presentation , service and Food was well worth it. We don’t have one complaint and hope to be back at another time.

Everything was great from seating us early to our fantastic waitress who took great care of us. We brought our own wine which they corked for us at a reasonable cost. We started with the grilled Caesar salad then the bone in Ribeye along with mushrooms and au gratin potatoes. Food was excellent! We visit Bowdies Chophouse in Saugatuck often and I have near been disappointed.

Always a hit. We routinely visit Michigan and purposely drive to Saugatuck and stay at least one night just to have dinner at Bowdies

Bowdie’s was fantastic. We had a reservation for a party of 6. I highly recommend making a reservation. The restaurant is smaller scale. When we arrived at opening, the restaurant was already booked for the rest of the evening. The service was great. Drinks were great. I personally had the sangria. Very tasty. A few people at our table enjoyed the dirty martinis with the blue cheese stuffed olives. The shrimp bisque was so yummy (mild shrimp taste) as was the shrimp cocktail. We shared the mushrooms, truffle fries, Brussel sprouts and au gratin potatoes. All of which were fantastic. 3 people at our table had the filet. They all agreed it was fantastic. One of, if not the best filet they’d ever had. Someone else had the bone in filet and said it was very good as well. After the fact, they wished they wouldn’t have had bone in. And 2 people shared the tomahawk. So much meat. 2 people could not finish it. But 10/10 quality meat and flavor. The Bowdies sauce was delicious. I highly recommend if you enjoy horseradish. Overall, we had a fantastic experience. The ambiance was lovely. This is a big deal to us if you’re going to pay hefty prices. Parking was difficult to find on a Saturday night so give yourself plenty of time. If I could complain about anything it would be the free brownie we were given for dessert (free birthday dessert). Again it was free, but I wouldn’t recommend ordering it. Very dry and blah.

Service was quite slow unfortunately, but the food was great. It took about 20 minutes to get just our drinks. We go here pretty regularly and it was the slowest it’s ever been.
