    noise level destroys any chance of pleasant normal tones conversation preventing an important part of restaurant dining ie. the social exchange with your guests.

    Not the greatest of dining experiences. A “gift from the kitchen”, a trio of fried potatoes arrived on the table before we had a chance to order water let alone a cocktail. By the time we had anything to wash down the crisps, they had become cold to the touch. The food was average including the famed lobster pot pie which was “prepared table side”, meaning behind my back where I couldn’t see the presentation. Nothing stood out from the food we ordered, except the horrible table side service. What’s the point of the table side preparation if you can’t see it? Dishes are prepared across the room from tables or in blind spots which completely destroys the intimacy and uniqueness of table side preparation. What’s more, the same space is used for all other dining tables orders so throughout the evening all I hear is cutlery scraping off plates behind me as dishes for other tables are prepared. I noticed this was common place and went on throughout the evening, servers preparing dishes well away from their intended destination, a service Mina was once famous for has obviously fallen into amateurism. The main room is decorated with interesting lights and candles and mirror like surfaces reflecting that light into the busy and exciting buzz of the dining room, except for the dead space corner I was seated. Here I was facing a dimly lit and looming dark wood wall while my back faced the excitement of the rest of the room, how undelightful and underwhelming. The lack of ambience was glaring. Two different sommeliers gave two very different interpretations of the wine list. The couches are old and offered no support and provided for a very undignified exit as one struggled to rise from behind the leather covered table top. In addition a 20% gratuity was automatically added to our bill, a table for two. This policy is not visible on their website. While our server was polite and friendly it couldn’t overcome the disappointment with the dinner. We will not be back.

    Bartenders and servers were great! Food is always very good. A little noisy and crowded but all in all a good experience.

    Delightful dinning experience, started by a welcoming professional lady Maitr de reception at entrance who sat us on a nice corner. Restaurant was busy energetic. A great menu! I love they bring a starter for table 3 small containers of French fries with 3 sauce to munch on while one wait for the rest to come. I choose The Foie Gras appetizer & it was fantastic prepared & delicious. There is all cuts of meet but I choose 8 oz filet & my husband got the lamb chops ( both were perfectly cooked ) loved the creamy spinach. The food amount was plenty but one has to see the dessert( The list is Devine) I wanted to try every one!! We decided to get their specialty The beignet ( plate arrived with big 5 pieces with 3 condiments) it was a great ending of A Perfect Dinner. Must add the service was excellent with our 2 attentive, pleasant , efficient waiters Andres & Randy, compliments to them, they are great servers& a reflection of this good training in this highly busy resturant. Have to mention the Sommelier Craig Teracia , he helped us select an excellent wine , he is passionate about the wine & exteamly knowledgeable & professional, an asset to this perfect restaurant

    Entire meal was fantastic. Service was attentive and food was delicious. The signature short rib was a standout. Noise level was a little high but not too bad.

    I made reservations here for my girlfriend’s birthday. Despite telling them this was a birthday dinner, they sat us in the bar area. It was really loud and the table is an awkward height for having a dinner. The server took 5-10 mins to come over after we were seated before he helped us, and wasn’t very attentive for the duration of our dinner. Here’s the best part, they asked if we wanted a desert menu. Didn’t bring out a little dessert with a candle or anything. This is the first place that I’ve dined at that didn’t bring out a small desert and candle for a birthday. For spending $260 you expect more. This experience ruined my girlfriends birthday and our night. I will not be back here again. I recommend you pick somewhere else for your special event.

    We have been to two other locations (Nashville and DC) which were exceptional. This Aventura location was the absolute worst dining experience we have had in a long time and we eat out 4-5 times a week in the South Florida area. Our table of 6 was seated at a large table for eight up against another table of eight. It was so tightly packed that we could not back up our chairs to get into or out of our table. The noise was unbelievably loud and we are not on the older side! There is absolutely no sound proofing. It almost seemed like we were in a lounge area that was used for overflow. Our server came over and took the order and we never saw her again. Not once more! We ordered one round of drinks and were never offered a second. We had to basically beg for water. Our server was essentially the busboy for the rest of the night. He came and took our appetizers away before we were done saying that our food was going to get cold because the kitchen is trying to get food out quickly. Why is that and why is your kitchen problem now our problem? The timing was as poor as the quality of food (tuna tartar is minced and mushy, salmon overcooked and not a center cut at $59). The best part of the night was leaving! You’re opening an location much closer to us in Delray but will be hesitant to try it or recommend it. There are no many quality steakhouses in Southern Florida so competion is tight. Do better!
