Basic Sysco truck foods with a side of ‘tude. Parking is atrocious. 30min wait to valet park and NO other options for self park or park across the street and walk. And once you pull in you’re stuck, there is no backing up or changing your mind because 100s of cars will pull in behind you immediately. It’s a con job, bait and switch kind of place. Nowhere do they say they are part of Marriott, (We will never be supporting them again). Better quality meats at Ruth’s, Hustons, or Capital Grille. (I’d compare Bourbon to Longhorn or Chillies meats). The staff try to be helpful yet they don’t know the first rule of good service is “Don’t interrupt, be silent if possible.” After needing to ask for cracked pepper (because it didn’t come with my salad) three different waiters came over to offer after we were already through appetizers! Like, “leave me alone to eat my mains please the salad is gone!!!” After that, dessert came without tea or coffee (though we ordered those at the same time). Again, once the pie was finished the rest came after the check was presented! 20 percent gratuity is required (there is no written notice of this either). I’m not opposed to much higher percentages of gratuity but forcing a fee that’s based on service received is subjective and should not be left up to the house. If they are concerned about their employees earnings they should pay them more to get proper training. No offense, every person was kind and courteous but not all together there. Like they had too many “managers” and not enough team players. Took over 40min to retrieve the car after dinner while waiting for valet to get their act together and requesting the car multiple times only to be told, “times vary between 15-30mins.” I honestly think they treat restaurant customers like this as retaliation for disturbing their golf course traffic flows. Horrible service, don’t waste your valuable time unless you’re looking for that basic Marriott cafeteria experience.

We were guests of the hotel where the restaurant is located. The guest services and restaurant staff had miscommunication issues about our reservation so they were not able to accommodate us when we arrived and asked us to wait 1hr. They then put us in a “private room” which was basically an overflow room that is reserved for conferences nowhere near the rest of the restaurant. Because we had vocally expressed our discontentment up to this point they were able to solve and move us to the main dining room but then it felt a bit like retaliation to where the staff treated us with a bit of a side eye. Food wasn’t bad but 2 of 6 steaks were swapped with incorrect temperature (like well done vs medium rare and vice versa on different cuts) they did sing happy birthday and the server mentioned that the manager removed 2 desserts from our bill ($60 value) which was a nice gesture but when we received the bill both items were still being charged and I had to awkwardly comment on it. Whole experience was kind of weird but I may consider returning to give them the benefit of the doubt.

Wonderful dining experience last night at Bourbon Steak at the JW Marriott. I was seated immediately upon arrival and loved my seating area facing a fabulous glass wine display and the main dining bar adjacent. Loved the complimentary 3 different french fries and sauces, which were scrumptious. It was a nice twist instead of having bread. My husband and I started with a dozen oysters which were deliciously fresh. The presentation of the steak tartare mix was delightful and the server did a nice job. It was very busy and the entire team was actively working collaboratively. My main entree was the branzino which was delicious flavorful. My husband had the sea bass it was absolutely phenomenal. Truly a 5 star award winning dish. Thankfully I live locally and can go back for the delicious Sea Bass dish. Truly the highlight of the night. Thank you for a lovely fine dining meal and great service.

Rib eye cap was very small for $109 price and not flavorful. Place was extremely loud. Nice ambiance though.

The food was good. Our waitress was outstanding. I didn’t catch her name because it was so loud you couldn’t hear anything. She was tall with blonde hair super friendly. For the price I expected a little better but still worth trying.
