C’est en septembre 1989 que le Boatyard Bar & Grill a ouvert ses portes en plein cœur de Fort Lauderdale, capitale mondiale du yachting. Aujourd’hui encore, le Boatyard reste le principal restaurant de bord de mer, servant des fruits de mer du jour, préparés par des mains expertes. Il dispose de salles intérieure et extérieure ainsi que d’un bar/terrasse en bord de mer, idéal pour regarder les yachts passer. Le restaurant met un point d’honneur à offrir une expérience de grande qualité à ses clients ; il propose un service clients irréprochable, une cuisine raffinée et une atmosphère des plus agréables. Un happy hour est organisé du lundi au vendredi, de 16h00 à 19h00.

    They were missing ingredients to make a Bellini, ordered a draft beer and was given a can because they were out of draft and did not ask us if we wanted the can. They were also out of their signature burger and only made a small accommodation when all that was available was the higher end burger. Lastly, we were a table of 4 adults, a 3 and 5 year old and were charged an 18% tip due to being a 6 top. Funny thing is, I always leave a 20% tip after tax. I have eaten there numerous times and always had a great experience. If this was my first, would not be a good impression.

    This place was great at one point but our experience today was not good at all. Appetizers were really good, we got the artichoke chops and fried calamari, recommend. The problem came when we ordered a bottle of whispering angel from their brunch menu. The server let us know they were out of that completely and did not have a back up, no rose by the glass at all. Other bottles were $60+ and no by the glass options. I ordered a Spanish white wine by the glass only to be told that this was the last glass they had! We also heard from other tables that ordered tequila that they ran out of the tequila they wanted. It seems whoever orders the alcohol for this place greatly under orders. The entree was blah, a lobster roll, nothing to write home. Warm lobster meat on a cold almost stale tasting roll is not it. Two of us ordered that, they come with a sauce, my cup was a quarter full, the other persons was full. Not great attention to detail. My impression is appetizers are good, you’ll probably not get the alcohol you want, and entrees are blah. I wont be going back.

    The boatyard was a perfect place for us to sit outside on the dock and enjoy a fabulous Saturday early evening dinner. The staff and ambience was outstanding.

    Undercooked shrimp sent back plate came back 30 mins later still cold after the whole table finished eating overall poor experience

    Great service No. 1. Food well liked by all. But a bit price increase noticed. Will return when meeting people at Ft L airport. Very convenient A bit surprised food lunch service stopped at 2:45 pm as warned by receptionist although 3 pm more possible. Overall a great stop. Ample parking. May want to ask for type of seating you want. We ask outside always but better seating near boats and tree that one would ask for. Overall very nice lunch and will return whenever leaving Ft. L Airport. Again service exceptional.
