    Excellent service and good was amazing! We were so pleasantly surprised at the quick service and tasty steak and seafood!

    You overall dinner was great. What I can say is that the seafood tower for two only had three oysters which for me is kind of strange because you want to divided by two. Our server was fantastic although we waited quite a while to get checked in she seemed a little flustered.

    We go to this restaurant a few times a year but on this visit, my Halibut and Chips was overcooked and the fish was very dry and lacked seasoning. For a $42 price point I would have expected a lot more.

    Initially we were seated on the rooftop at a far corner where roofing construction noise was right next door to us and very loud. We asked to be moved to one of many empty tables and while the hostess seemed reluctant to move us they did. The rooftop patio was not busy at this time so moving us should not have been an issue. Once moved we seemed forgotten about and waited quite a while to order our drinks. Once the server got to our table he did seem to pick up the service and remained attentive for the remainder of our dinner. The mussel dish ordered had almost 50% shells not opened. This also seemed to be an issue with the management not willing to make this kitchen error right. The server even told us that the mussels were cooked inside and should be okay to eat! Then he said perhaps the kitchen was trying to hide the uncooked ones in the bowl. A Foodsafe refresher may help with this group. Eventually they offered a free dessert to share rather than comp the appetizer dish which the server had initially offered . The appetizer dish was calamari and terribly overcooked. The Boathouse is a Seafood restaurant so already 2 seafood dishes not prepared well. This Boathouse decor needs an upgrade as it looks tired and dated. It has been in this location for years and has a fabulous view from the rooftop. This was a beautiful Friday night after work dinner and while the rooftop did get busier, the main restaurant one floor below was mostly empty. Definitely some missed opportunities here for management to train both kitchen and front line staff, updating the menu, and creating fresh and well cooked seafood dishes. When ordering items like mussels and oysters and chowders I want to feel confident in their freshness and preparation.

    Was my birthday and my server was gone for most of our meal, did not clear our table before cake and we were looking to leave. Ended up asking the greeter for help.
