Food is very good especially the fried chicken. Service is very good. The outside dinning is lovely, except that occasionally you smell cigar smoke from the adjoining restaurant. I don't believe that anything can by done to prevent that occurring.

Having first dined at Blue Door 7 years ago, and only sporadically since then and post-COVID, we were pleased that our experience was even better than our first. Brunch on their covered outdoor area is a remarkable dining experience.

The food and ambience was top notch. Such a cute restaurant, the service was great and the food was amazing. This is definitely a gem in the heart of Chicago. I look forward on going back on my next visit.

This was our first time at Blue Door Kitchen & Garden. The patio is covered and shady so we were already feeling pretty great about the place! I had read the reviews that everything was excellent and the fried chicken was the best--so I had to order the fried chicken even though I'm not generally a fan of fried chicken...and it was AMAZING!!! (and my husband agreed). My daughter got the salmon and said it was excellent. We all enjoyed everything we ordered, which also included the pear salad, the mac-and-cheese, and the BDK cocktail. The cornbread was to-die-for: I saved it for the end and then didn't even need dessert. Our server was Juan, and he was excellent. I recommend highly!

Sat on the patio which was simply lovely. The temperature was perfect. Service was great. Food and drinks were amazing. It was a great place to share brunch with out of town family

The patio was lush and pretty. Our server Daisy took great care of us. Brunch was delicious from start to finish. Raspberry mimosas a big hit with my party. Blueberry cheesecake dessert w Oreo dessert was shared and no one can stop talking about it being the perfect bite.

We were looking forward to this restaurant with the advertised celebratory chef and Michelin ratings but frankly we were disappointed. The food was good but average. The wait staff seemed incompletely trained to describe the menu items. We are sorry to report we found no reason to return and none to recommend it to others. We might add that this is another restaurant that feels it’s appropriate to add a nearly 5% surcharge / administrative fee to the check
