The Bleu Olive is still my favorite restaurant in the Triangle. The ciabatta and pita breads were both hot and delicious on their own, and adding olive oil and balsamic, and hummus, respectively to them made them even better. Each was a treat. I stuck with my go-to of the Joyce Farms chicken stuffed with spinach and feta, over mushroom risotto for my entree and savored each bite as always. My wife made fun of me for making sure I didn’t miss a single piece of the risotto by the time I was done. The service was very good and the ambience is very nice. We will keep coming back.

We had the Three Course Dinner (Valentine's Day). We chose the Kofte and Mussels Krasata for Course 1, the Faroe Island Salmon and Butternut Squash Risotto for Course 2, and the Feta and Honey Cheesecake and Pots de Creme for Course 3. All three courses were amazing and delightful. The depth of flavor in every item was breathtaking. the presentation was superb and the service was perfect. We had to wait a few minutes for our table to be cleared (not surprising, given that every table was booked and several tables were being cleaned, etc.). Then, we were taken to a very nice table in a quiet area toward the back of the restaurant. Overall, the restaurant was respectfully quiet despite being packed to capacity. This speaks to the quality of their customers more than anything else. The reputation of this place is well-deserved. We will be back again and again.

This place is INCREDIBLE. We went for Valentine’s Day and did the 3 course menu, both ordering different things, and every single thing was fantastic.

This was our first time at Blue Olive but will not be our last. We travel to Durham, NC often mostly for doctor appointments and we will make sure to patronize multiple times in the future. The entire experience was amazing. Our service was excellent as well as the food. Our waiter suggested the soup of the day and it was delicious, and the seafood entree was also recommended, and they were both exceptional. What a wonderful find and we will definitely be back and soon.

Went with a friend for a leisurely lunch. We both had their half chicken salad sandwich, without the bread. I had the chicken salad on top of my side salad and my friend had fries. There were not a lot of people there so the volume was very nice. The service and food are always good. Never felt rushed to leave the table.
