We are a BYOB restaurant!

Welcome to Black Lab Bistro. We trust healthy food make happy life. Our mission is to provide a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. It is a perfect destination for you to spend the time with the boss, getting together with old friends or date night with that special someone. We have 3-course prix-fixe for $25, Serving from Sunday to Thursday. Our menu items including braised beef short ribs, lump crab cakes, duck and scallops are must haves. Diners are invited to bring their own wine, beer or champagne.

This is what I posted on YELP. I also included the pick of the steak. "First, I will say that the service and the appetizer was very good, which is why I gave it two stars. Otherwise it would have only received one. My friend and I shared the calamari appetizer which was excellent. For entree’s I had the (almost 40.00) ribeye and she ordered the chicken piccata. If you look at the attached photo of my steak then no other explanation is really necessary, it was pathetic. Full of fat, no more than a quarter inch thick and tasted and looked like it was boiled. I barely ate it. The piccata was paper (literally) thin chicken that was over cooked to the point of cardboard and it had about as much flavor. We both left very disappointed and agree we will never go back. The place is VERY noisy but again if the food had been good that really wouldn’t have mattered. I wish I could remember the servers name because she was very good."

We were trying to have a nice dinner out in town and avoid the usual brew pubs so we gave this place a try and I was sorely disappointed. Service was exceedingly slow. Food was meh. We had the peach bruschetta which was mediocre, the bacon crumble was just burned bacon bits and the pomegranate sauce had zero acidity. Scallops and fish on the mains was overcooked. The fish tacos were extremely dry and overcooked (if there was spicy mayo it was impossible to find) and clearly just like Costco corn tortillas that were quickly grilled for lines but also undercooked, dry and flavorless. Honestly trying to avoid the usually pub fare in phoenixville turned out terribly. Skip this one.

Excellent food great service a terrific place will go back again we were celebrating two birthdays and it was a perfect way to do so

We had an outstanding experience at this wonderful restaurant! It was our first visit and it couldn’t have gone better. The food was absolutely delicious and every single bite was savored by both of us! We are anxiously awaiting the time when we can return. One of our best meals in a long time!
