Black Iron Kitchen and Bar is Telluride’s premier spot for a modern mountain cuisine experience. Our chef and staff cultivate menu items with the farmers, local purveyors and artisan growers, and connect with the land and food that fuels our passion. Black Iron offers something special for those special dietary requirements, such as a wide selection of gluten free and vegetarian dishes.
Comfortable for the entire family, the Black Iron interior is warm woods, dark steel, and natural stone, providing a modern yet casual dining environment. Phenomenal service, fabulous food and atmosphere to boot!! The staff made us feel very welcomed and they were so personable. We will be back next time we're in Telluride!! Only critique, we would like to see a more interesting dessert menu

Food was delicious and the service was excellent. The best part was how they made my husbands birthday special with a champagne toast and dessert which was unexpected but really made the experience extra special.

Where do I begin……our server was not friendly and very abrupt. Two people ordered pasta and one was mushy and overdone and the other was crunchy and undercooked. Three of the five smash burgers were overcooked and charred and both the burger and fries must have sat for a while and were served cold. We asked for some bread for the table as the drinks and appetizers took so long to come out and were shocked to see a $30 charge for six slices of Texas toast and rock hard butter. I rarely write reviews but cannot recommend enough to find somewhere else to dine. There are so many great restaurants in Telluride and this what such a disappointment.

Fantastic staff and every time we go we have a great time. The food is terrific and they have a really great kids menu too

The brunch menu is very creative and tasty. The blue corn pancakes and bison steak & eggs hit the spot.

Was a little disappointed this time. We often dine at Black Iron and have enjoyed it. This time 2 of us (out of 4) ordered the Grand Arso Bucatini and were not impressed. Very dry, very little sauce, like eating a dry bowl of pasta.. We had both ordered the dinner size (they offer it in large & small) and when they brought it one ordered was very obviously smaller than the other. Our waitress, whom we have had before, was again very aggressive with pushing us to order, insisted that they were the same size. Guess she didn’t have her glasses on. Our friends will never return to Black Iron.

Awesome service, outside seating around the fire. Family style steak and cauliflower was amazing.

Service and ambience was great! Food selection is limited and pricey but everything we had was excellent! Highly recommend the pasta!

a tomato gazpacho that I'm going to dream about and a mushroom ravioli - both items that are in season and tasted oh so fresh and amazing. Lovely service. If I had any negative to say - as we were leaving, quite a few empty tables sat outside with dirty dishes. Maybe short staffed? But I'll be back - the food was delicious!

Great food! Service was a little off paced. Two of us got our salad and entree (we were splitting both and they came out at same time) and had finished them at least 20-25 minutes before the other three got their shared porterhouse. Great ambience.
