Authentic French restaurants are few and far between these days but Bistro Pierre delivers in true Gallic style. You’ll find this vibrant, inner-city eaterie in the heart of Liverpool’s Cavern Quarter near the world famous Mathew Street, in an old warehouse building which with its wooden floors and exposed brickwork has readily transformed itself into a rustic French bistro. Service is relaxed, warm and friendly.

Not been here for a while but will be back again very soon! Food and service was excellent and even though we were late for our booking due to a theatre problem we were welcomed warmly by staff

I love this place, lovely relaxing atmosphere, the staff are so friendly and professional. The menu is quite small which I find a good thing, excellent quality along with the costs. The also have some delicious red wine too! I would highly recommend trying Bistro Pierre

My friend and I have been visiting Bistro Pierre for many years and have never been disappointed, but our visit yesterday was the best yet ! The food, ambience and service was outstanding. I must give a special mention to our waiter Gregory who was superb. Can't wait to return in two weeks time.

Beef bouerbignon, tasty but rather large portion as pensioners we have smaller appetites could easily have shared one. Music from the venue below was extremely loud and ruined the ambience was difficult to relax with it booming out. I was given a saucer instead of a plate when I ordered some bread but I asked the waiter to swap it which was no bother and he was very knowledgeable about the wine and apologised about the noise from downstairs saying they were trying to rectify it. On the whole a pleasant friendly restaurant and decent food ....could benefit from a smaller portion section on the venue.....shout out to our waiter very friendly guy

A really lovely experience and a welcome respite amongst a vibrant part of Liverpool. Food and wine were excellent. The dining area has a typical French feel about it that compels conversation in a effortless and relaxing way. First rate.

The location was very central and decor was good. There are a lot of steps for anyone with mobility issues. The food was fine but way too many mussels in the bouillabaisse. Value wise it was fine.

Visited on a quiet Bank Holiday night and staff attended to us superbly (special mention to Grace). The food was delicious at a very reasonable price. Recommended.

Service was ok. Not overly attentive. No one came to ask how our starters were or our mains until we had finished! My drink didn’t arrive until after my starter. My husband couldn’t have the beer he wanted as it was out of stock…but didn’t know beforehand as no one told him. Not a very good selection of beer either so no second option to fall back on. The dead twig things stuffed in vase on table looked dreadful & did nothing for the decor except to say the restaurant doesn’t give a hoot! Paper napkins didn’t add anything to the overall class of the restaurant as well. These are of course all things that can be fixed. But I’d have to say the biggest turn off was the fact that the music from the venue below the restaurant was SO loud & intrusive that we could feel the beat through the seats of our chairs!! So as much as we love Liverpool & visit often.…we will not be returning or recommending Bistro Pierre.
