An Evening with Jean Trimbach: Bistro du Midi will be hosting Jean Trimbach on September 10th at 6 PM to showcase a lineup of his most legendary wines including large format bottles of Cuvee Frederic Emile and Clos St. Hune. Jean, a 12th Generation member of the Trimbach Family, will be on hand to share stories and insights about the estate, the vineyards and the wines. This rare selection of wines will be paired with a late-summer 5 course menu from Culinary Director Robert Sisca and Executive Chef David Iacobazzi on the upper floor of Bistro du Midi overlooking the Boston Common

Friendly service, excellent food and outstanding desserts. Had a great business meal there with 8 people and looking forward to taking my girlfriend for her birthday dinner soon after.

Almost 2 hours for 1 course meal. Several general service problems added together created an unmemorable and irritating dinner Sommelier was patronising. When asking for my white wine to be slightly more chilled the reply was “we store our wine at 45 degrees” we all know that’s the optimal temperature for storing wine, however serving temperature should be to the clients preference.

With their frequently updated menu BdM is always a great experience. Good ambience and decor, very refined and attentive service and obviously high quality food, wine and alcohols. Special mention for their deserts especially the soufflés. I wish the musical ambience was a bit better chosen. Pricey but not so much compared to many other subpar places in the area.

We had a great time here last night. It was a gorgeous summer evening and we dined all fresco across the street from the Public Garden. Roland was our server. He was attentive with a dry, subtle wit and he helped make our meal even more enjoyable. The food was great (Husband had the duck breast, I had the boullabaisse), the Wine Manager was very helpful and we are looking forward to our next visit.

We had such a nice experience at Bistro du Midi! From the maitre d’ to the service staff, everyone was kind, attentive, and knowledgeable. The food was outstanding. The melon soup was refreshing and unique. The duck breast was savory and cooked perfectly. The mushroom tarte was delicious. The best part was the chocolate soufflé. Cannot wait to go back again soon!

Service and ambience were perfect. Unfortunately the food came out luke warm.sent back the dish and next version came out burned. It might have been a one off but id stick with lunch and go elsewhere for dinner.

The food and service was very good and reasonable priced for the portion size. Only complaint is that when in a French Bistro, one expects there to be sufficient sauce to go with the dish. The béchamel on the Croque was good, there was just very little of it so you barely knew it was there, same for the Hollandaise on the Benedict.
