The entrance to Bistro Barberet is rather modest, suggesting that its just another small pastry shop or bakery, but the pastries and prepared foods that greet you inside have to seen to be believed. Magnificent! I've been in France many times, speak French well, and know French culture, and Bistro Barberet is the real deal. When my wife and I later had the meal in the restaurant, our enjoyment of the perfectly prepared dishes increased. The service and ambience were splendid. The prices were reasonable for this upscale meal. Ample and varied choices in dining and in drinks. We'll go back.

Food, service and ambience is outstanding. The new recipes that rotate through the menu are always unexpected but so delicious. And the escargots… I dream about.

We love Bistro Barberet. The service and food are always outstanding. When I am missing France, I have only to go there. I especially enjoy the Bastille Day celebration as this date has personal meaning for me. It coincides with the very day my father disembarked in Normandy in 1944.

We enjoyed drinks and dinner with our daughter. Our entrees were well prepared in the French tradition. We enjoyed the mussels, salmon and the special chicken cordon blew. Service was excellent. The Chef stopped by our table asking for our opinion. Highly recommend.

The ambience was festive for the early Bastille Day. Food was creative and delicious; our wine choices were spot on. Our server was friendly, knowledgeable, with just right amount of expertise to make us comfortable. Michael, bartender, is a gem.

Best chef in Lancaster. All ordered dishes at our table were excellent. Recommend the chicken cordon bleu with corn risotto and the lamb sausages....bakery items are the ultimate dessert!
