Décoré dans le style d'un bistrot parisien des années 1930, le Biff's Bistro est le chef d'œuvre haut de gamme des über-restaurateurs Peter Oliver et Michael Bonacini, de Toronto. Le salon élégant, doté d'un superbe comptoir en zinc, est une pure merveille de design rétro. Les banquettes en cuir, les boiseries chaleureuses et les grands miroirs dégagent une atmosphère somptueuse et animée. Dans ce cadre, le chef Amanda Ray présente un menu de cuisine de bistrot française, accompagné d'une impressionnante carte des vins. Classic French dining done extremely well. Romantic and lovely ambience just so dark at tables that I needed my flashlight to read menu. Penny, our server was welcoming, polite and respectful but friendly and warm also. Checked in on us often enough but not too often. Cleaned crumbs between courses. Even brought a complimentary dessert because we had said how much we enjoyed our meal. Escargot-not chewy like usually are, moist and delicious with fantastic herb butter sauce. Toasted brioche was perfect to scoop up the sauce. Penny brought more without charge. Had green salad with goat cheese and it was fresh and light with just the right amt of dressing. 10oz strip steak frites was huge. Glad we shared everything. Steak was cooked perfectly and had good grill flavor with only a tiny piece of fat. Green beans were a surprise and were also perfect, crisp but not raw. Frites and bernaise sauce yummy. Classic and delicious crème brûlée for dessert. A couple of glasses of Bordeaux Merlot, a cappuccino, and it was a perfect meal.

The newly renovated restaurant looks great and the food was excellent as it was before the renovation. The music was far too loud for fine dining and it was difficult to maintain a conversation. Service was okay but not great. Overall the ambiance is more like a Joey's than a higher end restaurant.

We did not like any of the food. But the service was incredible. They were understanding and willing to help us and give us other options. Great people.

We had the Coque au vin and it was very good. I had a glass of house Chardonnay and it was also very good. We like the ambience inside the restaurant. This was a surprise since outside the restaurant does not have a large or even a small sign. Only the name painted on the front door entrance windows. The outside is well maintained though. On the whole if you are looking for a French restaurant with great ambiance and very good food at a reasonable price this is the place.

I’m thrilled that Biffs is back! The onion soup and steak frites were absolutely fantastic, and the house wine was exceptional. As always, the service was impeccable.
