Le dernier restaurant du chef et restaurateur Jason Atherton, Berners Tavern est un lieu de rassemblement pour manger et pour s'entretenir, ouvert toute la journée pour le déjeuner, le dîner, le souper, le thé de l'après-midi et le souper tardif. Berners Tavern at The London EDITION have partnered with Glendalough Distillery to host Jonbers’ Irish Revue hosted by esteemed Drag Race alumni, Jonbers Blonde. Guests will be treated to a three-course lunch and show celebrating the best of Irish cuisine and culture, from the tradition to the modern with drag performances, poetry and even a Sinead O'connor Sing a long closing with Jonbers Irish Dancing troupe. Available for £70 per person, the 3-course set menu will feature a choice of welcome cocktails X or X as well as a Irish-inspired dishes including 8-hour Guinness beef shepherd’s pie, an Irish bread and butter pudding or a selection of Irish cheeses with membrillo soda bread.

Was there for the second time and dont think will return. Not worth the price for the food quality. Menu hasnt changed for over 11 months and food choice totally boring and not worth the extremely high prices. Double tables are too near making it impossible to have a private conversation.

Was a wonderful dinner! Everything was perfect! From the plates to the service to the location everything was top of the top! Can’t wait to be there again! One of the best restaurants I have been during my vacations

My son and daughter in law ordered the chateaubriand. It was very very expensive. But it was inedible — so gristly you had to chew a bite for 10 minutes. I ordered a fish dish but the waiter later informed it had tree nuts (which I am allergic to), but the menu didn’t list any tree nuts. So I had to order a fish dish almost twice as expensive. Overall the restaurant was very disappointing.

Service was slow. Steak took a long time coming and was cold when it came and instead of medium rare as requested was medium as had clearly been left "cooking" on the side for too long. Lovely ambience and amazing room but let down by service and food.

Overall a positive experience but some areas that could be improved. 1. If I’d wanted Champagne I would have ordered it. Very awkward when it is bought to me as host with guests to say no thanks when it then looks like I’m turning it away for my guests. At mid price £35 per small glass it was an excellent sale but it won’t encourage me to return. 2. Online there is a lunch time set menu. This wasn’t even offered. Again very awkward when I’m the host asking my guests to also have a cheaper menu, even though what we chose was on it and I would have paid much less for exactly the same 3. Still water at £7/ bottle. Again no pro active offer of tap water or a statement after choosing still that it wasn’t feee! 4. Hard floors make it noisy and harder to hear even when close. That having been said, the service was excellent and the greeting on arrival very warm. Super setting for the restaurant. Food was excellent and of good proportions. This could have been so much better. Short term wins on the prices I paid are a long term loss as I’ll not rush to return feeling hard done by.

Amazing food, amazing atmosphere. I really liked the food, especially the sole and the sirloin. The tuna appetiser with wasabi is next level as well. I feel the waiter can be less pushy when ordering, as we were only 2 and still wanted us to order more sides that were unecessary.

This is the first time we have eaten at the Berners Tavern and we had an excellent meal last night. One of the best we have had in London and we have eaten in many restaurants in town over the years. We loved the ambience and the service was very good too.
