Bienvenue sur Benihana : une expérience culinaire pas comme les autres! Nos hôtes sont assis en groupes à des tables communes, où votre chef personnel effectuera l'art ancien du Teppanyaki. Admirez-le trancher, couper en dés et préparer un repas qui éblouira vos yeux et vos papilles, que vous choisissiez le steak-qui-met-l'eau-à-la-bouche, le tendre poulet ou les succulents fruits de mer. Vous pouvez également déguster des sushis préparés par un chef talentueux et vous faire plaisir avec un cocktail de spécialité. Benihana Torrance est une icône dans la South Bay. Il a ouvert ses portes en 1981 et continue depuis à offrir à la communauté une excellente nourriture, des boissons et des spectacles. Le restaurant est niché sur la Plaza Del Amo, au carrefour des boulevards Torrance et Hawthorne. My reservation was at 830 and didn’t get seated till about 920. The waiter was forgetful and came back once didn’t refill our drinks and forgot my cocktail. To have a reservation this late at a restaurant like this is unacceptable because our chef really didn’t start cooking until 10 pm by that time I was ready to go

I go to Benihana yearly for my birthday and my best friend’s birthday back to back Feb and Mar. this year has been the best service I’ve had! I got there for a 6pm reservation and was seated in 10 minutes!! The service has improved drastically and the chefs have been on their A game!! The food has been perfection and even the birthday songs have had charisma and making whole tables join in on the celebrations!!! Great job Benihana!! Keep up the great work!! See you next year!

Just had the greatest experience yet at Benihanas. I took my family of 8 out to dinner tonight. Both my brothers, my mom, my mother in law, my husband my 2 little boys (4 & 20 months) and I. Our waiter John-Well was patient, social, kind, helpful and friendly. He refilled our drinks, chatted with us, brought our soups and salads and constantly checked on us. He told us at the beginning of our dinner they were packed, but he was going to do his best to get us served as fast as possible. I will say I didn't even notice any service being slow. Our chef Eric was next level amazing (he needs to be training all the chefs). He was funny, quick, efficient, kind and had my 4 year old having the best time of his life. They were yelling funny words together, laughing and just being silly. My son even asked to come back tomorrow to hang out with his new friend. I can't wait to come back with my family again. I will be requesting John-well and Eric every time. As a team you will not go wrong!

It’s been years since I’ve gone to this restaurant. I use to love it and was so excited to take my family. Our reservation was at 7:30pm. At 8:15pm we finally got our table. At 8:30pm we were still waiting to order. The server was working hard but he seemed overwhelmed. The chef was less than spectacular. We went to Benihana for the experience, but it was mediocre at best. The food tasted all the same. Our bill was $300 before the tip. The place was loud. The armed security guard standing in the dining room was alarming. Completely disappointed and will never go back.

They told us that we had to wait and hour after we made reservations for 8pm we ended up leaving and going somewhere else

We had a 7pm reservation and were not seated until 8. It became obvious that they regularly take FAR too many reservations for each hour and that it is their standard practice to run an hour-long wait for reservations. Open table should shut down this service as management uses this practice as a strategy to keep the restaurant full at all times. It’s purposefully misleading. We were a party of 9 celebrating a birthday. We had no other choice on a Saturday night but to wait the hour.

Reservation was at 6, but weren’t seated till 7. Their explanation was that “they aren’t Korean BBQ where there is a time limit on seated customers”. Clearly over booked for the night and zero sympathy from them. Book earlier in the evening and expect to wait with a reservation

Arrived and they said it would be 45 minutes because they overbooked. Went back at 45 minutes and they said another 15-20 minutes, went back at 15 minutes and said another 10-15 minutes. Asked for manager 3 times and never came over. Have a diabetic in the group and need to eat by certain times. Kept pushing time back, so we didn’t order an appetizer. Won’t go back to this location. Unprofessional and disorganized.
