Bienvenue sur Benihana : une expérience culinaire pas comme les autres! Nos hôtes sont assis en groupes à des tables communes, où votre chef personnel effectuera l'art ancien du Teppanyaki. Admirez-le trancher, couper en dés et préparer un repas qui éblouira vos yeux et vos papilles, que vous choisissiez le steak-qui-met-l'eau-à-la-bouche, le tendre poulet ou les succulents fruits de mer. Vous pouvez également déguster des sushis préparés par un chef talentueux et vous faire plaisir avec un cocktail de spécialité. Benihana Torrance est une icône dans la South Bay. Il a ouvert ses portes en 1981 et continue depuis à offrir à la communauté une excellente nourriture, des boissons et des spectacles. Le restaurant est niché sur la Plaza Del Amo, au carrefour des boulevards Torrance et Hawthorne. Il dispose de 20 tables de teppanyaki et d'un bar à sushis récemment rénové, de même que d'un bar pour profiter du meilleur sushi en ville. Food not seasoned quality not good like other Benihanas I went to. Waiter takes to long to help you and bunched me in a small table in the middle, sitting was terrible.

We had Erik has our chef his food is always amazing. I’m closer to the Santa Monica Benihana’s, but I drive all the way up to Torrance to have the amazing experience. Thank you Erik

We had a large party of 10 booked for 8pm on a Monday night. Upon arrival we were told the table wasn’t quite ready and we’d have to wait 10 minutes. We didn’t get seated until 30 minutes after our reservation time! The hosts were unhelpful and didn’t communicate the reason for the delay and nothing was done to compensate our time. We were told there were parties “in front of us”. How does that make sense when you reserve? What’s the point in a reservation if you’re made to wait so long?? Once we got to the table, the server was slow to arrive the order wasn’t taken until 9pm. Our entire party was starving by then. Luckily our chef Naz was excellent and entertained the entire group. He was the highlight of the night, he had great humor and showmanship. Food was decent, we ordered teriyaki steak and teriyaki chicken. As great as Naz was however wasn’t enough to save the very poor experience at the start of the night and slow service. I wouldn’t come again.

Came in tonight to use my birthday certificate. Food was as expected, but even with a reservation the wait was longer than expected, and was told could not wait in the lobby. Cannot wait in the lobby?? Isn't that what a lobby is for??? Was told to wait in the bar area (to be upsold and it was crowded) or in my car. Service was not up to par as well from the wait staff. The cook was energetic as most are. Not sure it was worth the bday discount. Would have rather spent the same amount of money at Maestro's or Fleming's and had better environment and service.

All of the food was delicious-soup, salad, chicken fried rice, steak and lobster. Plan to spend around 2 1/2 hours from the time you’re seated. Entertaining but can get a little loud.

Was seated an hour after our reservation, waited another 15 minutes before orders were taken. The chef never bothered looking up and we got 3 word out of him, rushed the whole experience and truly seemed checked out. I asked for steamed rice when ordering, when he was done making the friend rice he asked if I wanted steamed I said yes, he said boring and place a small amount of the fried rice on my plate, never received the requested item. Disappointing experience over all. It’s always a wait but the entertainment is usually worth it, sadly not this time.

Seated 1 hour after our reservation. Kept being told that they were waiting for a table to clear. When finally pressed, after 45 minutes, they said management told them not to tell guests that they were running over an hour behind on reservations. Took away our choice to leave or wait. Chain bought out by a larger corp who has them booking more people than tables available. Food was definitely below standard, no longer using garlic butter to cook most foods which definitely changes the taste. It took over 30 minutes to take our order after we were seated 1 hour late. Took just under 3 hours from our reservation to paying our bill. May not go back after using this location for over 30 years.

"I had a disappointing experience during my recent visit. My reservation was set for 6:45 PM, yet we weren’t seated until an hour later, at 7:50 PM. After waiting outside in the cold with my family, I had to go inside to ask for a manager, who unfortunately never came out. Once we were finally seated, there was another 30-minute wait before we were served. While the food and chef were excellent, the overall service left much to be desired. Due to these delays and lack of communication from the staff, I wouldn’t recommend visiting this location based on our experience."
