Bienvenue sur Benihana : une expérience culinaire pas comme les autres! Nos hôtes sont assis en groupes à des tables communes, où votre chef personnel effectuera l'art ancien du Teppanyaki. Admirez-le trancher, couper en dés et préparer un repas qui éblouira vos yeux et vos papilles, que vous choisissiez le steak-qui-met-l'eau-à-la-bouche, le tendre poulet ou les succulents fruits de mer. Vous pouvez également déguster des sushis préparés par un chef talentueux et vous faire plaisir avec un cocktail de spécialité. Benihana Torrance est une icône dans la South Bay. Il a ouvert ses portes en 1981 et continue depuis à offrir à la communauté une excellente nourriture, des boissons et des spectacles. Le restaurant est niché sur la Plaza Del Amo, au carrefour des boulevards Torrance et Hawthorne. We had to wait over 1 hour past our reservation time to be seated. Our server was working multiple tables and due to the fact that they were running out of drink glasses, they had to get the glasses from the customer then take to the back to refill it, so it made more work for them. The chef was super rushed and only did the choo choo train onion and a hibachi rice beating heart as their show. They over seasoned, over buttered and left all of the meat in gigantic pieces. Whole colossal shrimp and beef chunks so large that they were awkward and hard to eat without a knife. Then they charged a service charge because we were a large party and we were expected to tip our server on top of that. The restrooms were gross and the women’s restroom had a sink and the opposite side soap dispenser out of order with a super slippery floor. We used to love to go to Benihana to celebrate our birthdays but after this visit we will never go back. Don’t waste your money or your time.

Food is always good but service isn’t great. I wonder if the servers are stretched really thin. We never even got a refill for water, my chair had oil on the back of it, and we weren’t seated until 35 min after our reservation time (what’s the point of having one?). I’ve been coming to Benihana for 25 years and it just seems to be going downhill.

Well this was a rough experience - reservation was for 7pm Due to not being able to get our food in the grill until almost 9pm (8:47pm) my party left. We did not want to eat that late in the evening. We paid for the drinks, the soup and salad, but we left due to the long wait. Our server Myesha, was attentive and on point. However, due to circumstances outside her control she was not tipped. So overall experience was horrible to say the least. Will try the Santa Monica establishment next time. Hopefully it will be a better experience.

Place is great always at Benihana, but as a professional in customer experience I waited at the door for maybe 5 minutes before anyone greeted me and the bathroom doors and wall need to a better appearance… doors are beat up and there graffiti on the bathroom wall

Was seated and hour+ after my reservation time. And took another 45 mins for the food to start being cooked.

Had to wait over an hour for the cook Cold appetizers and soup Took a while to get drinks Very dissatisfied in my experience. And on top of that they only took off the price of our drinks when I feel it should have been way more discounted due to the experience

Reservations was at 7:30pm and we were not seated until nearly 8:40pm. The celebration was for my Niece’s Birthday. We requested the group photo and due to the time delays of being seated, Staff never took the requested Group Photo, Birthday acknowledgment was rushed, ice cream/ dessert was rushed, we were the last table in the restaurant and the overall experience was disappointing for my Niece’s Birthday. The worst part is that a Staff Member told us that an 1 hour wait time is normal for ANY Reservation!!!!!! That is ridiculous!!!

I’m glad OpenTable reached out. I was going to call and speak to a manager today. Didn’t have the best experience and wanted to share first. I wanted to say the service was very slow. Had a reservation for seven sat down about 740 also the server was made known that my son had allergies when the food came out the cook was cooking Like he wasn’t aware and I bought it to his attention. He said no he didn’t know he looked at the receipt, but he never made any provisions any different. I think that that is a big red flag because if something had happened to my son, this would be a very different call or email. They have to practice safety protocols with seafood or allergies in general. The service was very relaxed. We ate our whole dinner service with the appetizer plates and bowls still surrounding our table. I have a pic to show. It was a four out of 10 and behind. This is one of my favorite places the highlight of the night as we were celebrating three birthdays and we did have a certificate for one thankful for that thank you.

well, I went there today for lunch. My son and I and my friend I went to the restroom and the floor was very wet and I slipped and I hurt my shoulder. Jason, the manager made sure I was OK. He was awesome. The food was good Jesse the shelf was awesome. The waitress Gabriella was OK, but I think she would only waitress on because she really didn’t come around and didn’t bring our appetizers on time, they came with lunch was being made. Overall, it was very good.
