Bienvenue sur Benihana : une expérience culinaire pas comme les autres! Nos hôtes sont assis en groupes à des tables communes, où votre chef personnel effectuera l'art ancien du Teppanyaki. Admirez-le trancher, couper en dés et préparer un repas qui éblouira vos yeux et vos papilles, que vous choisissiez le steak-qui-met-l'eau-à-la-bouche, le tendre poulet ou les succulents fruits de mer. Vous pouvez également déguster des sushis préparés par un chef talentueux et vous faire plaisir avec un cocktail de spécialité. Benihana Torrance est une icône dans la South Bay. Il a ouvert ses portes en 1981 et continue depuis à offrir à la communauté une excellente nourriture, des boissons et des spectacles. Le restaurant est niché sur la Plaza Del Amo, au carrefour des boulevards Torrance et Hawthorne. Il dispose de 20 tables de teppanyaki et d'un bar à sushis récemment rénové, de même que d'un bar pour profiter du meilleur sushi en ville. I made a reservation for 7:15 PM (everybody was on time ) however we did not get seated until 8 PM. While we waiting for the shift, the stove was not turned on so we have to weigh additional after shift arrive for the grill to be hot. Fork and napkin was not offered, and sauces was not provided. At the end of our meal, our waiter did not know we have a cake in the back, when the waiter located our cakes, he brought it out and ask if we want staff to sing happy birthday song to my sister. It was supposed to be a surprise yet the waiter blow the surprise and told us to wait until the staff finish with other tables….. I have been to Benihana many times and I guess this particular and I was pretty rush/complacency environment. I love Benihana and hope our next year will not be the same as last night.

I had an amazing time. 😊 Our server was amazing. He really took care of us and had the best attitude. Our cook was also Amazing. The show he put on was better than the normal show. Thanks guys for everything.

It’s was a 6 course meal however the portion becomes fewer. Very small potion compared to previous years. The prices went up I understand but the food serving portion was little also. Birthday $30 will not get you any free meal not even a noodles. Maybe an appetizer.

The staff is clearly over worked and ill just safely assume underpaid. Two managers were literally just standing around and didn't assist the runners or cooks whatsoever even amist the blatant chaos. We Couldn't get drink refills at all, food was missing for the chefs. I dont eat here often but enough to notice the food quality has also drastically gone down, price has gone way up. Other customers complained the entire meal. Really a resting Only enjoyable for kids at this point, where tor the price point you'd be robbing yourself to not just hit a panda express.

Terrible! The wait was over an hour. I checked open table and even with the hour wait… they claimed to have spots every 15 minutes. After 1 hour to be seated, with nowhere else to go… we just waited around until we were called upon. After that it took 20 minutes for the server to even greet us. We finally ordered and over an hot later, we received our soups and salads. The entire experience lasted 4 hours!!!!!! It felt like torture. It was just 4 of us…. Not a large party. This should have been more efficient. I’m really upset and will be emailing both managers today.

We made a last minute reservation on open table for 4 at 7:15. There were multiple options available, giving hope that the restaurant wasn’t going to be at max capacity. When we arrived, it was over max capacity and we arrived 30 mins early just to be told we were more than likely going to be seated “closer to our reservation time.” That was not the case. We were sat down 45 mins later. Typically, after the waiter takes drink orders the stove is cut on to prepare for the cook, but when the chef arrived the stove had not been cut on. We were told that we would have to wait an additional 15 mins until the stove was hot enough to cook. Everyone was hungry and upset. It was bad enough to be seated almost an hour later but additionally have to wait for the meal to be started was disappointing. I’m normally not petty nor do I complain often, I have sympathy for the employees when they are short staffed and attempt to show grace. However in this case I felt that the chef became so bothered that he made the meals carelessly and in a rush. He over salted my steak and then drenched it in garlic butter sauce which was simply unsatisfying to taste. When mentioned that it was unbearable to eat, he just looked away. He never offered to replace it. I had to let the waiter know in order to not be charged for it. I would’ve preferred having it remade because it’s an essential part of my meal but I guess since they were all behind no one cared enough. The other guests at the table had a few issues and mentioned that although this was a nearby location they normally visit the further restaurants due to the commonality of poor service. I hope that management can find a way to properly staff and support their employees to make their customers want to return. The bartender was the highlight of my night.

Had a wonderful time dinning with family for my husbands birthday. Food was delicious. The only constructive feedback was its very tight seating which made it hard to get up to use the restroom etc. Also we were there for over three hours due to long wait times on food. However, if you know this ahead of time the taste was worth the wait.
