Definitely the worst Benihana I’ve ever been to. They got the wrong order for 4 of the 9 people in our party, all of the steaks were overcooked, and the teppan chef was so poor that on three different instances he sent cooking utensils flying at the members of our party (including flinging a knife at one of the ladies). Will never return.

Our reservation was at 7:15pm. We arrived at 7pm and it was packed with large parties impatiently waiting. It seemed to me that they had over booked and were having difficulties fulfilling reservations in a timely fashion. We got seated at 8pm, with two other parties at our table whose reservations were at 7. It took the waitress about 10 minutes to take our drink orders. The cook came to our table around 15 minutes later but couldn't get started because the waitress got the fried rice orders wrong. He needed her to bring more rice but she was nowhere in sight. Once the cook finally got started he gave it his all to be energetic and he put on a great show. However, when serving the food, he gave my husband the colossal shrimp which was part of my meal. Luckily, it was given to my husband and not another guest at our table. We were celebrating my husband's birthday and the entire experience was chaotic and not pleasant. I've noticed thru the years the service and quality of food at Benihana's has declined and not worth the prices they charge. We will not be returning.

We had a reservation and we were with little kids that are uncontrolled when hungry. We had to wait for a table for 30 minutes and then for a chef for another at least 40. I think they overbooked themselves and then everyone has to wait. I wouldn’t mind if we were just adults but with kids it’s stressful.

Benihana is my all-time favorite sit down restaurant, but I rarely get to go there. The last time was a few years ago and I was shocked to see the price of my beloved Splash & Meadow jumped by about $10 and now they are charging $7.50 extra for chicken fried rice. CFR is a staple! It’s part of the show! What kind of experience would we have if we go to Benihana and not have the heart trick, the Pac-Man, the chicken, or any of the other fun creations with the CFR?! It cost $120 for only two meals. That is insane!! Furthermore, there are only two Benihana locations in the Los Angeles “west side”, neither of which are close to me, so getting to one is a huge treat. Since they changed their $30 birthday credit to only be good for Mondays through Thursdays, I haven’t been able to use it for many years. Given all of this, I’m afraid this was my last trip to my beloved Benihana. You’ve nickel and dimed, fee’d and upcharged me to death, and now like Disneyland, I can no longer afford you. I’m disappointed in you.

The grease they used in the food left us all seasick. Service in an empty restaurant was slow - 60 minutes from arriving we got soup. I dunno. It used to be a gimmick and fun, but the food isn’t good and experience is annoying — and we were with a three year old who loves the place. Sorry to write this!

I took my friend from Nepal to have dinner at Benihana. He really enjoyed this experience. The food is yummy. The atmosphere is fun!

Pretty ridiculous how long the wait was with a reservation at that. Had reservations at 8:45pm waited till 9:40pm to get seated at the table. Then waited another 25 minutes for the cook to come out. Service could of have been better. Management needs to do better!

Food was good, but the price is very high, prices have increased about 25% since my last visit and portions seem to be smaller.
