    Very slow service. Food took a long time and was not at good temperature. They took an hour after they took our order to let us know there was no Wagyu burgers because the meat was not defrosted. They only had one person attending more than 6 tables. Overall not a good experience.

    Had reservations at 7:30 pm, made us wait 25 mins before seating which is unacceptable and ridiculous. The waiter for drinks didn't come back in a timely manner me and two of my kids wanting a refill on soda and had to wait about 15-20 mins before server came to check on us. There was no photo person to take a group photo which was disappointing. The chef was awesome and food was great though.

    IZack was amazing, however the waitress was terrible. We saw her twice and she was never there to help him grab anything from the back when needed.

    Our Chef Ray was very entertaining, and kept the young and old engaged throughout the meal preparation. We’ll definitely go back!!

    Excellent night at the San Diego Benihana... And a shout out to Andres our server and our chef, Luis. Both were excellent... and Luis made quite possibly the best fried rice we've ever had! Thanks!

    Food + Chef were very good server was a bit slow and did not come back for refills. Our reservation was for 7:45pm didn’t get seated until about 8:40. Chef was done at 10pm. Good quality was great just terrible wait time. We also did valet parking and valet guy left by the time we were done we had to get our own car.

    Got seated right away. Had a reservation for 7 but then two canceled they were so nice about accommodating the change. The food was delicious and cooked correctly. The wait staff was very attentive. Fun night with friends!

    We went to Benihana’s for a Sunday lunch birthday celebration for my 18 year old son. We’ve been coming here for years. It was not super busy. We did the hibachi with 6 people. The food is always good here but the service is not anymore. After her initial taking orders and bringing the soup/ salads, we hardly saw our waiter. We had to flag her down when we needed something. The chef was only mildly engaging and entertaining. Not the A team. It’s also really expensive for what it is. It’s definitely not $30 and under as stated on this Open Table app. More like $50 to $60+ for the good stuff! You go there for the atmosphere and the entertainment of the chef so I don’t mind paying. After spending $430+ (including the tip) for 6 people, I just expect more. We’ll probably be back. I hope they can pull it together.
