Bienvenue au restaurant Benihana, qui vous fera vivre une expérience culinaire hors du commun ! Ici, les clients sont tous installés ensemble, autour de grandes tables communes. Vous pourrez admirer votre chef personnel mettre en scène l’art ancien du Teppanyaki (méthode de cuisson traditionnelle sur plaque chauffante), le regarder découper, mettre en cubes et préparer un repas qui ravira vos yeux comme vos papilles. Que vous choisissiez un succulent steak, du tendre poulet ou de délicieux fruits de mer, vous vous régalerez. Vous pouvez également déguster des sushis préparés par le talentueux chef et vous laisser tenter par un des cocktails de spécialité. Benihana est situé tout près du centre-ville de Salt Lake City, directement en face du Salt Palace Convention Center. Il est caché derrière le Janet Quinney Lawson Capitol Theatre, à distance de marche du temple Mormon de renommée mondiale. Once again, the food was delicious and the chef was fun. The restaurant front is poorly run. We had a 6:15pm reservation but actually didn’t get to our table until nearly 7:00pm. Then we didn’t get a waitress to even acknowledge us for at least 10 to 15 minutes. After that, the experience was fine. The menu has been reduced which is disappointing. For example, the meal that was NY Strip is no longer an option (?).

Quantity and quality of food were below average. It was a busy night but service and timing were way off; our appetizer edamame arrived after the entrees and the side that was supposed to come with the entrees arrived nearly 20 minutes later. Drinks weren’t correct and steak was overcooked. There are way better restaurants for the price.

Everything was great until the end when the waitress kept looking over my shoulder at the tip amount which felt really uncomfortable.

Our reservation was for 6:30. We showed up on time and were quoted a 25 minute delay. We were finally sat after over an hour delay. The servers did their best to accommodate a busy night but it was very apparent they were understaffed and exhausted. What’s the point of offering reservations if you’re going to be over an hour behind? Part of the allure of Benihana is the experience- we had overly tired and hungry kids, a chef trying to catch up but overall it was not a good experience. Half our table didn’t receive part of their food, and we had to request drink refills and remind the server. I feel for the service staff- they were doing their best. The manager did offer us 50% off which was very generous. I just don’t know that we will ever be back.

Music way too loud. Quieter and theme would have been better. We really missed the teriyaki sauce they used to cook with the meats. Salt and pepper alone are not enough. Chicken rice is now $7 extra. Way too high. Gets dirtier inside every time we go. Mario was chef. He did a great job!

Hard to understand why Benihana is charging 7.00 per person for fried rice on top of a 40.00-50.00 meal? Used to be a part of the meal. We will not be returning, too many other choices around SLC.

The food was good but not great as previous visits. I think the cook and server were new as it appeared they were still learning.

The food is great, the dining experience is good. I don't know the point of a reservation if you still have to wait 45 min once you check in for your reservation. Isn't the point to show up to be seated within 10-15 min max.
