Bienvenue au restaurant Benihana, qui vous fera vivre une expérience culinaire hors du commun ! Ici, les clients sont tous installés ensemble, autour de grandes tables communes. Vous pourrez admirer votre chef personnel mettre en scène l’art ancien du Teppanyaki (méthode de cuisson traditionnelle sur plaque chauffante), le regarder découper, mettre en cubes et préparer un repas qui ravira vos yeux comme vos papilles. Que vous choisissiez un succulent steak, du tendre poulet ou de délicieux fruits de mer, vous vous régalerez. Vous pouvez également déguster des sushis préparés par le talentueux chef et vous laisser tenter par un des cocktails de spécialité. Benihana est situé tout près du centre-ville de Salt Lake City, directement en face du Salt Palace Convention Center. Il est caché derrière le Janet Quinney Lawson Capitol Theatre, à distance de marche du temple Mormon de renommée mondiale. Benihana se trouve à seulement 15 minutes en voiture de l'aéroport international de Salt Lake, et très populaire auprès des touristes, des congressistes et des skieurs. Where to start with benihanas? As your approach you’ll be greeted by an absolutely retched exterior. I don’t think I’ve ever been anywhere downtown with a much bird crap at the front door and on the welcome mat. Once you enter, expect an additional 45min from your time of reservation until you’re sat. Once at the table, loon around your table for all of the food from the last party littering the floor, check your water for floaty bits from whatever was in them last, and be sure to expect at least another 20min until the server takes your order. At this point you can decide, do you get up and leave? Wait it out and find out if the food is decent? Will you get sick? Well we’d rather not find out, so out the door we went. Lesson learned, don’t waste your time at this place.

Shane and Eddy were friendly, courteous, and professional. Next time we go there we're going to request both of them.

Loved our experience at the Benihana in SLC. The service was prompt and drinks refilled without interruption or request. Chef Luis was hilarious and skilled! Food was great and the A5 Japanese steak was incredible.

Anna was our chef and she was the best We have had there in years.. She did the appetizer shrimp at first which has not been done that way in last few times we have been there. The meats were done just right as was the shrimps and lobster. Plus, we had some kids there that had never been to Beni, and she entertained them very well.. Cudo's to her.

Arrived at 6:55 PM for a 7:00 PM reservation. Was finally seated at 7:55 PM. No where to sit while waiting. Food is great. Service is subpar.

The staff were very unorganized Had a reservation for 8:15. Didn’t get sat until 9pm.

Love Benihana’s and their food was amazing. But, we had reservations at 6:00, so I checked in at 6 and they said they are running behind even on reservations, so she told me it was a 30 minute wait. We didn’t get seated until 6:45. I felt bad for the hostess’s, they were so sweet and people were being so mean. I know it’s not their fault, BUT I do think they have been open long enough to know when to cut reservations off so they don’t have to have people with reservations wait. That’s the whole point of reservations. I think they need to re-evaluate how many tables, chefs, chairs they have so they can stay on top of reservations. Or don’t do reservations at all and have it be a first come first served situation.

The restaurant felt too tightly crammed together. If they removed just one teppanyaki grill, it would create a much more comfortable dining experience. The food was okay, but nothing particularly special. We were visiting from out of town and decided to treat ourselves, but unfortunately, it didn’t live up to our expectations. We’ll likely look elsewhere next time we’re in Salt Lake.
