Was better than the last Time. Last time the chef forgot our shrimp and steak but this time was much better. I am sensitive to noise and asked for seating accommodations but unfortunately I was still seated with others but some were friendly and others were literally coughing and coughing 😓

We didn’t get seated for an hour and half after our reservation time. Sat at the bar while we waited and never received our appetizers.

Food was excellent. Service was very slow. Restaurant said they were short of teppan table cooks. Manager made it up by offering free appetizers. Ambience was not great, their air conditioning must have been out and were using temporary air conditioning being forced through large clear plastic tubes hanging from ceiling. Looked horrible. I’m not even tall but had to duck in order to not hit the tubes.

I love this place this is the 2nd time i go for my birthday dinner and we got the same waitress and cook was awesome i plan to go every year and add the husband to the birthday fun

Let me get this right- the food came at very regular intervals. Meaning drinks, soup/salad, appetizer and then the food was being made so we didn't wait terribly long to get our food. It was timed ok. What I could not get around or fathom was the HORRIBLE white plastic tubes(?) or whatever they were. They made noise, I'm assuming they had a purpose but I don't know what it was. The ventilation was HORRIFIC!! I've never suffered so much in my life. I stayed up until the food was cooked but I kept a towel over my face 99% of the time. I couldn't eat properly, bought 90% of my food home. It was just above a regular place! I've been here multiple times. This time- just horrifying, the level of smoke! My throat was just not able to process the food, my sister and nieces eyes were teary and watery, my son, who has asthma, didn't eat his food, and my mom is the only one who could eat and still be sort of ok. It was not an experience I could wish on anyone. They need to fix their ventilation- my clothes STINK- and it was new clothes for my birthday celebration. The server- great! The bar server who made my drink- AWESOME!!! The ambiance- HORRIBLE, SICKENING. My hair stinks, my jacket, my pants, everything stinks like smoke smoke smoke! I will have to wash it out and hope it comes out.

Our table for a party of 8, was ready and we were seated right one time. Our chef, Gavin was amazing! He was engaging, entertaining and the food was delicious. I added the scallops to my entree and EVERYTHING was seasoned and cooked to perfections.

I’ve been dinning at Benihana for about 30 years now. I had a really bad experience about 4 months ago with a cook at the Arcadia location, since the dish that I like is a spicy food with noodles (Seafood Diablo). The guy just put everything on the corner and the only thing he cooked was the shrimp, and scallops, at the end, he just mixed the noodles with the rest of the food and pour it on my plate. I asked him, could you please keep it a bit longer, I’d like my food well cooked, but he replied that the food is spicy and he doesn’t tolerate that. Same thing happen with the chicken fried rice, it was not well done so when I requested to keep it a bit more,I was ignored, until I insisted, then he just threw it on the grill. Ir was burned from one side and not well done from the other side. Last night we had a party of 8 people and it happen to be the same cook now at the Puente hills location. Since I know the way he prepares the food I asked them to cancel my dinner because we were celebrating a Bday so I didn’t want my family feel uncomfortable. The rice was raw and you could see the butter over it without been cooked, two of my family members got food posoning. Someone is not taking a very good care of how your cooks are preparing the food these days, if I continue to have experiences like this, I will not go back ever again. Lastly, this cook, when I complained about my food at the Arcadia location, he said to me that he will see me at the parking lot.
