Bienvenue chez Benihana, un restaurant qui vous propose une expérience culinaire hors du commun ! Installez-vous autour d'une de leurs tables communes et vous découvrirez tous les secrets du chef alors qu'il vous livrera ses astuces sur l'art ancien du Teppanyaki (cuisson des aliments sur plaque chauffante). Ils vous en mettront vraiment plein la vue ! Il ne vous restera qu'à faire votre choix parmi la diversité des savoureux mets proposés (bœuf, poulet, fruits de mer, etc.) et vous laisser éblouir par cette tradition japonaise. Vous pourrez également vous régaler de sushis préparés par un chef talentueux et vous délecter d'un cocktail de spécialité. Benihana Ontario est situé près de l'intersection des autoroutes I-10 et 215, à cinq minutes du Ontario International Airport et du Ontario Convention Center, ainsi que du Citizen’s Bank entertainment arena. Il dispose de 22 tables de type teppanyaki et d'un bar à sushis confortable offrant des spéciaux pour Happy Hour. Le restaurant a été conçu pour imiter le style Azekura qui rappelle un entrepôt de campagne japonaise, devenant l'un des deux seuls restaurants de style Azekura de la chaîne Benihana. Des frais de service de 18% sont ajoutés à toute facture pour les groupes de huit personnes ou plus.

    Unfortunately, our cook seem to be new at this. Really nice person, but took forever to cook very unorganized and confused , the food didn’t have much flavor, unfortunately.

    We were only getting our food two hours after our reservation. Also , you now have to pay extra to get the fried rice with your hibachi meal. Very loud. The restaurant and the cooking areas were visibly dirty. The waitress never came back to see if we needed anything else or drinks.

    I had a reservation at 645 and didn’t get seated until 720 that’s was my only problem other then that everything else was good

    We waited over an hour to be seated. Then waited 20 minutes for our chef.

    No air conditioning made the experience terrible. The heat only expanded the all the heavy grease, smoke and smells in the air which are normally really good. But with no air - absolutely horrible. Takes all the fun out of the experience. Given that there pricing is 20-30% higher than other local restaurants because of the brand and experience they offer - They should have considered the customers comfort when deciding not to fix the AC during a heat wave.

    As always, the food was AMAZING!!! Our chef was talented, knowledgeable, and outgoing!!! The only thing that detracted from our experience was the mom at the other end of our table, who claimed the a piece of rice came flying off the grill and landed on her young daughter's leg, burning her. This, in our opinion, fell under the category of "How to Get Yourself a Free Dinner". This mom carried on and on about how her poor daughter got burned, when the daughter didn't seem to react at all. If a piece of rice did fall on the girl, there's no way she would have been burned, as the rice cooled off immediately the second it left the grill. I could have understood her reaction if her daughter had actually been burned; however, all it seemed to do was get her a credit off her bill and create a disturbance and disruption of our dinner. Our chef seemed distracted and overly cautious throughout the remainder of our meal preparation. Without this bit of drama, our meal would have been perfect!!!

    2 1/2 hours for an experience with a reservation is way too long! We had to box and leave because we were missing our show. We had a birthday in the group and we never even got her dessert or the dessert that was included in our dinner package. Restaurant was very warm (it was a hot day but people were visibly fanning themselves) our chef was great personality wise, but the food was a bit over cooked and VERY salty. Wouldn’t return any time soon.

    The air was out and it was extremely hot in the restaurant. The registers were down so they had to hand calculate our bill. We had to wait to be seated with a reservation and the bathrooms were dirty. Trash all over the floor. Food was great.

    Overall this is our home location so we visit frequently. Excessive heat outside and restaurant with cooktops could not keep cool. So a bit uncomfortable throughout dinner, power glitch caused issues with closing out bills and we waited over 45 minutes after just to pay. I will always love the Benihana experience, but managers need to be better prepared to handle majors issues like this to ensure customers are taken care of.
