I made a reservation for 6pm. I arrived on time but wasn’t seated until 90mins later. The place was crowded, staff seemed overwhelmed. No one communicated the reason for delay or provided an update on when my party would be served. It wasn’t a good experience. I had family visiting from out of town and they really wanted to dine here. The manager Jeremy failed to communicate. He said he would check on the problem and then disappeared for 45mins.

Great food and service once we got to the table was great. Did have a 7:00 reservation and didn’t get sat till 7:30

Wonderful dinner and entertaining experience! The food was outstanding, especially the waygu beef entree. My daughter said it was one it was the best beef she has ever had! The chef was quite entertaining and kept my young guest amazed. I have been to several Benihana restaurants in a few cities: this is one of the best. The meal was a bit expensive…but it is New York city, so that is to be expected.

Can be a long wait time from check-in to being seated at a table depending on time of day and how busy they are. Also, from the time your order is placed with the waitress to when the chef comes to start cooking. Please mention to them if you have any allergies ahead of time and make sure they are aware of it again when the chef comes in order to prevent cross-contamination if you have any seafood allergies.

As with Everytime we’ve dined at Benihana’s the food, staff, and experience has been fantastic. I’m a Native New Yorker, however for the past (15) yrs., I’ve lived in NC. My daughter turned (25) and wanted to celebrate her birthday here. We traveled up & had the best time!! Thank You for helping to make her (25th) Birthday Special!!

Had a reservation but waited 20 mins to be seated in a crowded bar area packed with people waiting for tables. Then our party was given the crappiest table on the ground floor with ZERO ambiance. When I asked to be seated upstairs I was told that’s it - take it or leave it. Such a BS attitude from the hostess and made for a really unwelcome start! Also makes it hard to simply walk out and find somewhere else to go at that point!! Chef was fine but no real theatrics that is common for Benihana. Food was good but over priced for what it was.

Ate in the bar at a high top table which was fine. Service was terrible, never brought out the soup, delivered the food and had to ask for it. Also brought zero sauces till u asked for it. Food was ok but steak was way over done. Definitely not the experience I expected. Would suggest to skip on a trip to NYC.

Excellent food and service but the noise level was through the roof. Too many screaming twenty somethings. Too many people. I enjoy eating at the restaurant earlier in the evening when it is less crazy.
