Vous pourrez admirer votre chef personnel mettre en scène l’art ancien du Teppanyaki (méthode de cuisson traditionnelle sur plaque chauffante), le regarder découper, mettre en cubes, et préparer un repas qui ravira vos yeux comme vos papilles. Que vous choisissiez un succulent steak, du tendre poulet ou de délicieux fruits de mer, vous vous régalerez. Vous pourrez également vous régaler de sushis préparés par un chef talentueux et vous délecter d'un cocktail signature. It was terrible had a reservation at 7:00pm didn’t get seated til 8:30. On top of that we had to wait and additional hour just to get our food on the grill. The hostesses were extremely rude and unprofessional, they intentionally turned their backs on customers just to ignore us. Not once did they notify us of the current situation at hand, they gave us a dry one moment and made us wait and hour and a half. This is the type of treatment you receive when you don’t book as reservation. The poor chefs were extremely and inhumanly over worked that it lead to a poor quality of food. I’m not blaming the chefs because it’s out of their control. Our server was the hardest one working last night and I witnessed other staff members try to berate and belittle her but she was LITERALLY the only one actively working to the point she just needs be in charge of the place, no kidding. The poor girl was running around frantically just to tend to all her tables, but she did it with grace and fulfilled everyone’s needs. Overall this was the worst Benihana’s I’ve ever been to, either open another Memphis location or hired more professional staff members because the whole thing was unacceptable.

Our group of 4ppl were seated at 6:35. We ordered our meals and drinks. It took an hour for the alcoholic drinks to come from the bar. We did receive our appetizers in a reasonable time. We sat and waited for so long for our hibachi chef. We asked a staff member to speak with the manager because we didn’t know what was going on. He came and addressed the table and said he was going to adjust everyone’s bill with a discount. Finally our chef, Chef C came at 8:30 (2 hours after being seated). Chef C was great! He clearly cared about his job and had a good attitude. He apologized for the wait. He did a good job with the food. Thankfully the food was worth the wait, but entirely too long of an experience.

This filthy establishment served us old meat. When I refused to accept the meat because of the rank odor when placing on the grill, the server told us that we were accidentally served food that was meant for the trash. They offered to remake it with a "fresh box of food that had just been opened". I declined because why would I ever trust someone who just admitted to serving me spoiled steak, lobster, shrimp, and chicken!!! This place should be closed down!!! I was sick for a straight week because I had consumed some of the food before smelling the spoiled aroma. The health department was notified.

Our hibachi chef José was great! He knew the other guests at the table with us but that didn’t stop him from constantly engaging with us as well. He was very energetic and had a great sense of humor. He also made sure that everything was made exactly the way that everyone wanted and that everyone was satisfied. Our server, was this nice Korean woman and she was very nice as well. She was sensitive to my dietary restrictions/needs and made sure to make sure they were met. I can’t forget the bartender as well. She made our drinks very well and worked as a team with the hosts to make sure that they were delivered to our table because our table was ready sooner than we thought it would be. I will definitely be back because of all of them!

Well, after several years and previous disappointing experiences, we went back. Stunningly, flagrantly, unapologetically incompetent. Our reservation was for 6:30 PM. Not seated until after 7:30 PM. Three groups of eight with reservations, walked out, enraged at waiting for their reservations, as we waited for our own. Our first touch of food was not until after 8:00 PM. 25 minutes from ordering drinks until the first drink arrived, we ordered a bottle of sake, which one would think required only retrieving the bottle from a refrigerator and bringing it out with glasses. But instead our server couldn’t figure out which bottle of the only five varieties they offer we had ordered, so after 20 minutes another person came out to ask us if we had ordered a different bottle which we had not, and which they were out of. Our boys who ordered bottled sodas received their orders after 30 minutes. One bright spot: our chef was wonderful. Was there an apology? Was there a complimentary item? No. Our waitress overcharged us by $24. After learning that she had overcharged us, did she apologize? No. I do love hibachi, but it will be very, very difficult for me to return.
