Venez prendre une pause lors de votre virée de magasinage au Mall of America et venez voir ce qui fait que Benihana est un incontournable du centre commercial. Extremely over priced. They tell you there is an upcharge for doing fried rice, but fail to mention it is $7 per person! A 9 oz glass of vino (kim crawford) for $25, come on.

Good experience. Nice teppanyakis. We ordered the different types with shrimps, beef and chicken. The fried rice was excellent and the grill show very funny. Additionally we ordered a couple of sushis and the sashimi assortment. They were packed therefore the service wasn't the best, but it was ok.

Me and my family members had dinner last night. We had a new chef that hadn’t been there very long. I’m sure but she was unable to tell me because she doesn’t speak English. And unfortunately, I don’t speak Spanish so it was kind of a boring dinner were usually were engaged with the chef. The food that I had was OK she missed out on a lot of the seasonings on the meat no lemon on the shrimp or lobster so that was a little bit boring. Didn’t really put on a show like most of the chefs do. So overall, I believe it’s becoming very disappointing at this restaurant and by the looks of the crowds that were there, which was none , I assume that business has fallen off because of lack of help communication and the high price that they charged for a service charge which is ridiculous so I don’t know if the Golden Valley location is any better but I think will be moving to that restaurant rather than the mall of America.

Our hibachi chef was entertaining and added to the experience. The food was excellent with generous portions. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Service was extremely slow. We had a 1PM reservation. We were seated with a couple of minutes of that time. However it was after 1:30 before we had our basic beverages and longer than that for others at our table to get their bar beverages. The food was good and I expect the experience to take longer than a meal at other restaurants. However it was just before 3 PM when we left and the other parties we were seated with agreed the experience was slower than expected or experienced on prior visits

It was our daughter’s 8th birthday and she wanted a fun experience. What isn’t fun about hibachi?! First of all, our server was AMAZING!! He truly was fabulous and so helpful. Responsive, caring, and constantly anticipating our needs. We watched as the Chef in front of us did the whole shebang. Fire, tricks, jokes, eggs flying, rice flying into mouths- all the things. The kids were so excited for the same experience. This is where it went very (VERY) wrong. Our Chef arrived and we were so excited. However, from the very beginning I knew it wasn’t going to be what they were wanting. He seemed very flustered (maybe new?). Fire (check) and that’s where it ended. From having to throw the chicken out and start over because he messed it up, to making a MESS (food everywhere) all over the table, to messing up orders… I honestly felt bad for him. He maybe said 10 words to the table. However, you walk in the door and they tell you they are charging a 20% gratuity - period. Well worth it for our server…. But the experience definitely missed the mark. By about 1,000. Beyond ALL of the mess of the evening, no one acknowledged it was my daughter’s birthday. Not a happy bday, a joke, high five…. NOTHING. I know we got the “new” guy because we had a table with 5 kids and 3 adults (good practice, right?). BUT, they would have been the most excited to see the big show.

I love the fun at Bennehana's. And the food is always great. Service great. I always get the filet, and it's divine. Had a great time!

I've been to this location many times. In the last couple years it's gone downhill. My most recent visit a few days ago was the worst experience I've had. The chef was very nice and polite, however you could tell he was new. Probably should still be in training. The food was bland when usually it's very garlicky and tasty. He did a couple tricks at the beginning, but that was it. His knife must of been dull because the steak looked as if he just ripped it apart. Usually when I go they cut the filet into nice even cubes. The grill was on so low it took forever for anything to cook. I was there well over 2 hours. Ridiculous!! At the end he started cleaning the grill, but myself and another guest spoke up about never receiving our chicken. He did end up cooking the chicken for us, but of course that took quite a while. Some of the guests needed to get to a comedy show, so they had to leave before the food was done (and it should of been done before the time they had to leave) one guest mentioned she didn't get spicy shrimp, it was just regular. So the chef handed her spicy sauce. She was reluctant to take it and mentioned she thought the shrimp should be cooked in the sauce. Overall it was a terrible experience. All their original staff seems to have quit. Not sure if this is because they added the 20% service charge and chefs/waiters/waitresses don't get the tip they deserve or what the deal it. Definitely won't be going back to this location. Makes me sad because I used to go very regularly. I can't pay $100 a meal for a disaster like this. Nope nope nope.
