My family and I go to Benihana at least twice a month. This experience was subpar. Pros: The staff was friendly and the environment was upbeat. The soup and salad were delicious! Our server Frankie was very sweet. The chef put in a nice show for my 4yr old granddaughter. Con’s: I stated in the reservation and to the server that I had a shrimp allergy, but he completely forgot and almost gave me shrimp (My day had to stop him). I asked for spicy teriyaki on my chicken and steak but I guess he forgot about that as well. When I mentioned it, he took the steak off my plate and added teriyaki, not spicy teriyaki. I ordered the filet mignon and chicken and I literally had 5 small bites of chicken. When the manager came over, she said it was because my steak was larger…uhm, okay…My daughter also asked for teriyaki on her steak and of course, the chef forgot AGAIN! This time he poured so much teriyaki on her steak after he placed it on her plate, it soaked her rice, onion and zucchini (very gross). Our reservation was at 4:30 and we were seated immediately, however, at 6:30, we were still waiting on our check and ice cream. Service was extremely slow Overall, it was the WORST $200 experience ever!
