Ned more attentive waitresses… I understand being new… but maybe 2 waitresses for a bigger crowd would help.

Had an 8:30 reservation and was there until 10:45. Service was so slow and the people working there just don’t care at all.

I’ve had bad service before but not as bad as this time our server don’t remember her name because she never told us she HAD To be under the influence of drugs or alcohol her speech was slurred she spilled our soup several times, forgot our order 3 times and had to come back and retake it. She forgot to put in my order even after confirming she almost fell backwards bringing our water she bumped into serval tables we observed & she mentioned how poor the pay was and how she’s being bullied at work and demanded a 25$ tip that was allegedly mandatory. Overall the food was okay wouldn’t eat here again. Glad we aren’t from the area

The food was very good. The cook tells you every spice and ingredient that is going into your dish. The wait staff was very attentive. We will definitely dine here again.

I have visited Benihana for more than 30 years and over the years the food and service has drastically went down. On my most recent visit we went for my wife's birthday, the waitress had even asked if we were celebrating anything, the meal we both purchased happen to come with a dessert, we were never even offered the dessert and they didn't even wish my wife a happy birthday. The waitress never even came back to check on us after her initial taking the order for drinks, she never came back and offered us refills on our water or another drink, very very bad and poor service. As for the food, why does the chefs there think they have to deep fry the food on the flat top. The amount of oil and butter used is enough to clog an artery on consumption. I will not claim that Benihana is health food but come on there's no need to over use oil. Benihana used to be an establishment where you would go for a delicious meal and entertainment venue with top notch service, but that is no longer the case. I even asked for the manager and explained what took place and she just brushed me off and did not even take the time to attempt to address what happened. This is definitely a establishment to stay away from.

This was my birthday celebration dinner. First I never received my birthday certificate, Second our server was not informed of proper time frame on when happy hour ended and never returned to our table to offer boxes or dessert. Also noticed that the section we were sitting in only had African American or colored people in it and remaining of the restaurant was white people. The manager was polite, and helpful.

I just went to this Benihana location this afternoon with a few coworkers, to celebrate one of my now good friend’s birthday. I had made the reservation online a couple of days before which was very convenient. I decided it would be smart to call the day of the reservation, which was at 7pm and I called at 10am. A woman answered the phone and seemed to not understand that I wanted to “Edit my reservation to 6 people attending not 7”. She had already confirmed my appointment was in her system so that should not be difficult. When I got the the restaurant at 6:25 I checked in and the reservation was not changed. My party of 6 sat at the bar until 7:10 which is fine but not very demure or mindful. We were then seated at a great ocean front view. The waitress greeted us and asked us to order the appetizer and entree at the same time, not a problem. We received great salads, despite the lack of dressing, & good soup. The chef did not preform any type of special touch. There was no volcano, beating heart, butterfly, etc. He had amazing energy though and was very sweet to us. Maybe he thought us talking meant we didn’t care for an experience but that’s kind of why i’m paying so much. So, that really really sucked. Then, when the food was finished we had to ask the waitress for water since she thought all of our empty alcoholic beverages since ordering the appetizer would hold us over. Finally, to top off the horrible customer service, the birthday girl asked for chocolate ice cream and received vanilla. When we asked to speak with the manager she kept forcing the staff to bring out a chocolate ice cream and we kept declining. Very unpleasant experience. I usually go to Japan Inn and the yummy sauce and customer service is beyond top notch!

Waited over an hour for our chef to come to the table. Chef advised that he was replacing another chef who was assigned to our table, but ended up serving a table that his grandson was seated at. Or of the ladies at our table received a wrong order and waited over 45 minutes for a replacement. The chef had already started cooking by then. The

The food was much better on this visit. Our server and chef were great, however, the noise was so loud that we couldn’t talk to each other.
