    This was my first time sitting in the bar area and I must say that the food was not as good as when we sit at the grill. The server was great but the food wasn’t hot and was just ok. I may not sit in the bar area anymore.

    Had a 6 o’clock reservation. Didn’t get seated until 7. That made for a bit of rough start to the experience. When we finally got seated the service was solid and she was nice. The bar took quite awhile to get a round of drinks so we only ordered the one round for my wife and I. The chef does an excellent job and that’s what you’re there for ultimately. Can’t say I had the best dining experience and don’t feel compelled to go back anytime soon.

    The food is really good but in this time , we spend almost 1 hour for the food service , the waitress not speak English very well so it’s a little difficult understand

    We have been to Benihana numerous times and have enjoyed the experience. However, last night we waited at the table for over an hour before a chef arrived to start cooking. No one came to address the situation or apologize for the inconvenience.

    We have come to expect long waits and delays when dining at Benihana, but yesterday was unacceptable. Our party of eight arrived at 5:20 PM for a 5:30 PM reservation and didn't leave until 8:29 PM due to many reasons including something as simple as the grill not being preheated. As a result, once the chef and food arrived only to realize the grill wasn't hot, he left the area for a long time without any explanation, while we sat there watching our food sit in the cart without drink refills or any idea of what was going on. After waiting almost 2 hours, the chef began what we expected to be an entertaining family meal, unfortunately, this wasn't one of those experiences. The chef was openly upset when he returned, which we can only assume was due to the cold grill when he arrived earlier. The meal was rushed and the chef was lackluster at best as he skipped the traditional fun events, ie. onion volcano, egg roll, etc., performed and appreciated when eating at Benihana, to the disappointment of our 6-year-old granddaughter. Once the meal was prepared it tasted excellent, however, we struggled to get additional sauces as the chef wouldn't refill the cups until all of the food was prepared, and drink refills were only avaiable once you tracked down the wait staff and made the request. Lastly, we were there to celebrate our grandson's birthday and brought an ice cream cake for dessert, which we've done on multiple occasions. However, on this occassion we were told they couldn't hold the cake for us thus our only option was to keep in our car until the dinner was over. As expected, after 2.5 hours of sitting in the car, the ice cream melted and dessert was a failure. In all, this was our worst experience at a Benihana restaurant, which we frequent 3-4 times/year. We are willing to pay for great service and food, however if either are missed, then spending over $500 is not money well spent. Currently we do not plan to return as the cost no longer meets the value.

    Chose to bring 8 of my family members here for a total party of 9 to celebrate my birthday which was a mistake. Signed up to be apart of their birthday rewards earlier this month and was supposed to get my birthday reward 8-10 days in advance, planned this dinner 3 days in advance and was told I couldn’t use it until 2 days in advance, so essentially the day after our reservation was. Dont come here if you want to celebrate your birthday!
