    I've been to Benihana many times before, but our chef AMAR was awesome. He took his time and was very thorough and even did a little magic for the kids. He definitely made a difference.

    As a diner who was there for a birthday, I had to navigate the heavy checkout device. For a nice dinner, the waitress should just take the credit card and be done with it. I should not have to navigate a device to pay for an expensive dinner. I had gift certificates in two different forms which made the process much longer than it would have been had the waitress been made access to a cash register and navigated herself earning the tip I was about to give. Since I had to do the work of paying I left a considerable less tip for my time and trouble.

    Waitress and bartender were super nice. But the wait to get food and drinks took a long time. Maybe someonce called in?

    It took forty minutes just to get our drinks after we ordered them - including any water - waitress was huddled over another table the entire time and ignored ours

    I had the server Karrington and cook Jack. My table had a mushroom, tree nuts, shellfish, sesame seed, and coconut allergy. Jack was only notified of the mushroom allergy. And when we let him know since it was not put onto the ticket, he just smiled and kept cooking with his knife that was used to cut the shrimp. He gave us the option to get it cooked by the kitchen, so we got the manager and she coordinated the food to be cooked in the kitchen. The fact that Jack was not listening and kept referring to the incorrect ticket instead of listening to us was frustrating. I understand he has only been a cook at that location for a couple of months, but the fact he wouldn’t listen to us was just so frustrating since someone at the table has a severe allergy to shellfish and could have died if she was not paying attention to Jack as he cooked and served our food.

    Pur chef Ananda (spelling?) was awesome and patient with us. Our other server Michael was also awesome! The food was perfect. Thank you!!

    My wife and daughter have celiacs disease and have gotten sick from cross contamination at the grill so they always request to have their meal cooked in the back when we visit Benihana. Most of the time this process is seamless, however, the last two times that we visited Benihana this proved to be difficult. Last night we were celebrating my wife's birthday and apparently our server did not know that anyone needed to be notified about the meal being cooked in the kitchen. When our cook came out he was not made aware that two of our meals were requested to be made in that back and he advised the server that he needed to inform the kitchen. We had a feeling that this would cause a problem and unfortunately we were correct. My wife and daughter sat there and watched the rest of us eat for 15 minutes before I finally contacted a manager regarding the issue. As the manager was looking into the issue their food finally arrived. It really was a disappointing experience for my wife who was celebrating her birthday. This really isn't what we expected from a $220 meal.
