Bienvenue au Benihana, vous y vivrez une expérience culinaire pas comme les autres! Assis à une table commune, vous découvrirez tous les secrets du chef alors qu'il vous livrera ses astuces sur l'art ancien du teppanyaki (cuisson des aliments sur plaque chauffante). Vous en aurez plein la vue! Il vous restera à faire votre choix parmi la diversité des savoureux mets proposés (bœuf, poulet, fruits de mer, etc.) et vous laisser éblouir par cette tradition japonaise. Vous pourrez également vous délecter de sushis préparés par un chef talentueux et vous faire plaisir avec un cocktail de spécialité. Situé au cœur de la vallée de San Fernando, le Benihana Encino a été le lieu de nombreuses productions télévisuelles et cinématographiques, notamment The Office, 40 ans et encore puceau et bien d'autres. Ce restaurant est un favori local de plusieurs célébrités : on ne sait jamais qui pourrait être assis au gril teppanyaki à vos côtés. The food was not up to my expectations. I’ve been to this location before and I do feel that some cooks have a different level of experience and that makes a huge difference on my rating. The show is supposed to be great and grand, but it was not this time and the food did not have the delicious taste that I’m used to so it was quite disappointing. For me you’re paying for a grand show and food so that was my expectation slightly letdown.

Don't take reservations if you are not going to honor them. They clearly over-book (they always show reservation availability even if they already have reservations for those times), telling you it will just be a "short time" before they can seat you. Then you waste an hour waiting, and then only stick around because you've already sunk so much time into it, and end up hate-eating your food (which was fine, not outstanding but it was good). Had dinner reservations for 8 pm, not seated until 8:55pm, didn't get a single bite to eat until nearly 9:15 pm, and was finally able to pay the check just after 10:30 pm. Ridiculous. Not the fault of the staff, who were mostly friendly, this seems to be a conscious decision by management in order to keep the place beyond full. But in doing so they guaranty at least some people won't ever come back - I certainly won't be.

All four of us ordered different entrees and you really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. It is a fun evening watching the chef cook in front of us.

The chef was not fun like others, did not do the usual tricks that everyone does, experience was not great at all, barely spoke English

Seat, plate and utensils were very dirty. Also the fried rice was very salty. Other than that it was good

The waitress seemed like she was having a bad day, which everyone has bad days but it’s still part of the customer experience. The chef was good, he cooked well but I think some of his jokes fell flat, he seemed to get a long well with one gentleman who was part of our table but our party. It was loud in there so I couldn’t hear half of what was said between them. I think the weirdest thing about the night was both the waitress and the chef kept asking me about other people’s orders. How did my mom want her steak, did my husband want ice cream for his birthday? I don’t know, ask them. I’m still wondering why this happened. I brought my children so I’m used to ordering for them, but another adult? It was very odd.

They overbook their reservations making people wait for 30-45 mins with reservations.
