    First red flag entry way was filthy. The oversmell was terrible. I recommended this to my family I am visiting to celebrate my husband’s 70th birthday. We eat at this establishment quit often. We live in Houston. We wasted $120.63 and my family $152. I was really embarrassed that I recommended this place. We are all disabled seniors and our hills didn’t line up with the food. So disappointed

    The rice was not mixed up completely and it didn’t taste good. There was still a lot of white rice in the mix.

    We've never had such an awful experience at a Beni Hana's, and we are regulars. We went to the Deerborn location because we were in town for my graduation. I chose Beni Hana's to have my celebration dinner. First off, it was so unbearably hot in there when they sat us down. We placed our order and my daughter had a drop of something on her lap. We noticed by looking up that there was gunk and condensation that would randomly leak. This happened to her 2 more times. She was wearing a lilac colored dress so it was extremely noticeable. While we we discussing letting our server know, a big drop landed on my husband's plate. When the server came back we told the server and she spoke to the manager. They moved us to another table. The manager came out and apologized and told us to bring the dry cleaning bill to him. I explained we lived in NM and we were just here for my graduation. He offered a free appetizer as a substitute. While our meal was being cooked, the amount of smoke lingering in the air along with the heat was so uncomfortable and unbearable. We couldn't even eat our food comfortably, we packed everything up and paid and left (even our table mates packed their items and left as well). I understand that the grills get hot and it's normal, but I don't think the air was working because the amount of smoke lingering combined with the heat was intolerable. So much for my celebratory dinner. Such a bad experience.

    The onions were so strong in the food that it was the only thing I tasted, the butter was not tasty as usual and my strawberry shake was bland and ruled by ice.

    Unfortunately the service at this location is not great. Not enough waitstaff. Waited forever for her to come to take drink orders. She took our food order at the same time. I was fine with that. 2 courses served at the same time (soup & salad), had to wait for forks. Dirty dishes never cleared, I finally moved them to an empty, uncleared table myself but others at the table had their dirty bowls from soup & salad until we left the restaurant. Took a long time to get a chef. Table seated after us got their chef first. Wrong receipt given. Had to ask for birthday dessert. It took so long she brought it packed to go. Would have expected management to help if short staffed but didn’t see them until bill isdue.

    Our “chef”, and I use that word very loosely, was horrible. He made so many mistakes and tried to talk personally with other people he was cooking for and couldn’t concentrate on what he was doing. He tried giving someone shrimp who repeatedly said he was allergic, gave me chicken instead of vegetable, didn’t give one of my daughters any veggies and failed horribly at all the tricks as a hibachi chef. Even other chefs behind us watched him and clowned him for failing so badly. My husband tipped him only because he felt so sorry for this man in hopes he will buy more tools so they dont break as he cooks

    The bartender Miyah is outstanding. It was super busy on Father’s Day and she managed to take care of everyone.

    Waitress was awesome and attentive. Very busy but she kept checking in on us and making sure our needs was met. Food was delicious and experience was great.
