We’ve come to Benihana every year for birthdays. It’s always been a great experience and food has always been good. We must have gotten the B Team chef last night. He was very nice, but I honestly think it was his first time. He was trying so hard to do all the spatula and fork moves at the beginning, but the spatula kept flying across the table. He kept trying, but should have moved on. He broke two eggs during the whole egg spin and flip deal, too. It was awkward. Several people ordered chicken fried rice. He served the two veggie fried rice portions first, and then added in chicken for the others. By the time my son and I got ours, the chicken was mostly gone. We had maybe three pieces in each of our servings. It just wasn’t spread out evenly across each portion. I also noticed a huge chunk of egg and several huge chunks of white rice on the grill that he didn’t mix in. I kept thinking he would, but he didn’t for whatever reason. Next, he started the chicken. He served four people first, but pushed two servings off to the side of the grill for some reason and started the vegetables. I’m not sure why he didn’t serve my son and my daughter’s friend theirs, but it just sat there, continuing to cook while he started the vegetables. He served everyone their vegetables, and then was about to start the shrimp, when I reminded him about my daughter’s friend who has an allergy, and that he needed to serve her her chicken first. He apologized and served her, and my son, too, whose chicken was also just sitting there. The chicken portions were very meager. I got a ton of shrimp, but my son and the rest of our party’s chicken servings were very small. I’m not sure if he miscalculated or if the restaurant is reducing portions to save money, but it wasn’t enough. My son had to eat a second dinner when he got home because he felt like all he ate was veggies and rice. Last thing to add, my daughter didn’t get her steamed rice until the end of her meal. Disappointing.

Wow I come here so often that I definitely know what is normal for this location. Tonight was not normal and not good. We had an incredibly slow waitress as she must have been tired or just I’m not sure. But took a really long time for her to come to the table, she didn’t seem capable of multitasking. We literally had another table in the room that was finishing their dinner as we have been trying to order our drinks. They managed to clear that table seat, new people, and they got their order in and they had a chef cooking for them before we even had, the soup/ salad in front of us. Even the people at the other table, said gosh, they were here way before us when their chef came in. Fast-forward to our chef messing up a couple of orders on the table and then burning my fillet because he walked away from the table to get something because the waitress never came back. He had to cook another steak for me, which I never would have asked, but someone else the table was like comment Mensching on how burned it was since he left the room and came back while it was cooking. Just BAD all around. You can see how frequently I come and it feels awful to have to leave a review like this, but it was just terrible.

It was OK. Definitely better hibachi options in Dallas, at a better price. Our host Duwayne was amazing at taking care of us. The chef, Kevin, was dull and did not bring the vibe we were looking for. Restaurant was fair, I wouldn’t say it was clean or updated. The food was definitely a let down for my whole group. I’ve been to much better hibachi restaurants for half the price.

Our chef was very nice and entertaining. The waiter seemed a bit lost at times but was ok. Kids had fun. Food was severely overpriced for what it was served

Not the same quality as it use to be many years ago. Chef was less experience and food did not taste on par as previous times. Chicken chopped too tiny to eat, shrimp and egg over cooked. Rice was too much butter than usual. Also the rooms seemed to have added more hibachi table which made it cramped and rather noisy.

As always a superb Benihana’s experience. A little pricier than I remember it being last time but you don’t go for a value meal do you. Beer a little on the expensive side as well but can’t fault service or food.

We had to wait an hour for our table even though we had a reservation. However, our chef was very entertaining for my daughter and her friends.
