An always popular restaurant on the style-forward Kings Road in London’s Chelsea, Benihana offers an exciting take on Japanese dining. A concept originated way back in the 1960s over in the Big Apple, Benihana brings together food and performance, pioneering ‘eatertainment’. Ideal for families, Benihana is sleek and stylish with a modern interior, but chances are you won’t be paying much attention to your surroundings – most diners are too busy being charmed by the tableside teppan-yaki cookery which sees the chefs create real drama before your very eyes. In addition to the delicious personally created dishes cooked and served at your table, Benihana also offers eat in and lunchtime take away sushi.

Went for my little one’s birthday. In the earlier sittings, there are a lot of kids. Food is delicious and the performance fun.

The staff didn’t care. The food was basic. The black cod was not black cod. It was a few pieces of cod with a miso sauce on top and £50! The staff insisted that it was. We’ve eaten black cod in numerous Japanese restaurants, this certainly wasn’t. Won’t be recommending or visiting again!

Really good. Chef Jojo was great and made it fun! Food was lovely and massive amounts of food. Great value for money. Amazing

Benihana provides a different experience which makes a change in the usual experience, food was okay but with the competition out there, you can definitely find better food for the value of your money but the chef engagement did boost the score

Our chef Kenny was really professional and fun! Everyone at the table had great fun. The waitress was really attentive. Great experience as always.
