An always popular restaurant on the style-forward Kings Road in London’s Chelsea, Benihana offers an exciting take on Japanese dining. A concept originated way back in the 1960s over in the Big Apple, Benihana brings together food and performance, pioneering ‘eatertainment’. Ideal for families, Benihana is sleek and stylish with a modern interior, but chances are you won’t be paying much attention to your surroundings – most diners are too busy being charmed by the tableside teppan-yaki cookery which sees the chefs create real drama before your very eyes. Went for my sisters birthday and she had the best time. I would say this is an interactive experience so get ready for it. The food was amazing so that a 10/10 for us.

A disappointing experience. Chef was new and clearly didn’t know what he was doing. Service very slow. Bill high for bad quality. Won’t go again!

It was bad food bad show and the whole place stank of oil and cooking. When we left we had to air our clothes for a day to get the smell out. The show was poor the quality of food was not up to par. Not as i remembered it as a young adult. Shame.

I made a booking for nye and I called them personally to ask if they have a special menu and if they will be open till midnight as its nye. The lady on the phone assured me that there will even be a countdown for the new year , unfortunately we were asked to leave at 11:20 pm as the venue was closing and our server told us that such a thing was not happening. Also our booking was at 21:30 pm and the chef start cooking at 22:15 , we couldn't even finish our meal. Used to love benihana chelsea but after this experience definitely won't be returning.

Very good food and our chef was very entertaining, one point that needs to be addressed is that ventilation was not good and there was a smell of fried food when you entered the restaurant- over very good experience and one of our favourites.
