the quality of the food and service has gone down the past few years. we used to love this place, but the service in the bar area was not good (we had to ask twice for water, twice for a beer, requested no onions but got onions, never brought our shrimp appetizer or green tea, charged full price for substituting miso for onion soup). the food tasted fine, but there was hardly any shrimp (3 small cut up pieces of shrimp in a $30+ hibachi entree!) and nothing was spectacular. they did give us a credit on the bill for the missing food, but that shouldn't even have been necessary in the first place. next year for our birthdays we'll try the mission valley location and hope for a better experience :/

We have never been seated so quickly which was nice but my husband came about 5 min late and I told the girl we would wait for him since it was his birthday at the bar. We then proceeded to our table and they were taking our plates away? Luckily I explained we were just waiting at the bar area and there was a misunderstanding. It was all good. Our cook was Aries? Nice guy!! He was so good at all his tricks and even did a majic trick where he put 1 egg under a small metal bowl and then picked it up and there were two eggs!!! It was fabulous!! He was nice and talked about how in Asia culture they eat the shrimp tips as not to waste anything. We gave him all of ours!!😳😳. He tossed them in his hat!!😃🎉❤️. It was a great birthday for my husband.🎉

Excellent chef, Tyler. Super fun bu 100 dollars a person...no. way too much salt!!!! And honesty, the show not as fabulous as the show we are accustomed to feom the 80s and 90s. Yes, we r old. Willing to pay. But no value here. Yes, we will come back. It's fun. Tyler super good. You should pay him more money. But overall value not there. And my birthday Perks don't work on Saturday? Are you kidding????
