If I could give this digusting excuse of a restaurant a zero I would. I booked a reservation through Open Table for 3:30 so my family could celebrate my niece's birthday. We thought it would be fun and nostalgic to pick Benihana. I arrived on time and approached a man at the hostess desk who was extremely rude. I advised we were there for a 3:30 reservation. He curtly said, I don't have it. I showed him my Open Table reservation for 3:30 and he says "well, its showing on my computer that it was for 12:47. I said, Sir, its right here on my phone for 3:30 through Open Table.". Then he interrupts me, throws up his hands and says I'm not arguing with you, then instructs his security guard to escort me out. Wow! This 'manager' is a sad, miserable, egotisical, pride-driven parasite who needs God in his life. I pray he gets everything he deserves and more. DO NOT EVER give one dime to this restaurant. After I advised him to please accommodate us, we decided to go elsewhere after we were seated. No point in spending money where we were disrespected as if they were doing us a favor. Horrible!

Runnnnnnnnn...........management, host/hostess, server, cook, owner, all incompetent for the prices of this food and service...they cannot get anything correct but the charges on your receipt. And u better double check that.

Worst meal I have had in Atlanta in 25 years. Please save yourself the trouble and don’t go to this restaurant. I didn’t eat my meal at all, and did not take any home. For steak and shrimp with chicken fried rice, a Diet Coke and water lunch was $59 -$70 with tip. Was never asked why I didn’t eat my food. Steak had all the fat left on it, lemon was all over the steak, which I have never had. The shrimp was under seasoned and overcooked and when I called to tell a manager I was told it’s a holiday menu and you only get lunch prices if you request them. When asked to rectify the I was hung up on. Don’t waste your time. Food had no flavor, had fat in it, and was drowned in garlic butter. Very unfortunate experience and customer service by management.

Food was great. Chef was super funny and cooked food perfectly. Only off thing was restroom smelly like heavy weed. Otherwise great.

The service was great and the cook was very entertaining. But the restaurant was filthy. The walls had grease and all kinds of dirt on them. There was trash all over the floor too.

Over a hour to be seated with reservations- a hour and a half for a server or greeter to come to our table. Chef Eric was great once he got there. Everything else was horrible.

It took an over 90 minutes for the chef to come to our table to cook. Benihanas was understaffed or over booked or both. Management was horrible. I felt bad for the staff working there as they were put in a position to fail. Worst NYE dining experience ever. Also ran out of glassware and silverware so ate with plastic forks.

We had not been to Benihana's in a long, long time. We went as a celebration dinner after our son's engagement just prior at the Atlanta Botanical Gardens. I must say, as native Atlantan with many fond memories of being in and around Downtown Atlanta, Midtown and Buckhead, and even many fun memories associated with Benihana's, I was rather shocked at the behavior of the clientele. There were only four of us so we were seated with two other couples we did not know. Back in the good old days, that would have meant we made new friends and had a jolly time being entertained by the chef at our table. However, that was not the case at all. Both couples, one maybe more than the other, were completely engrossed with their phones, barely spoke to each other, much less anyone else. They seldom, if at all, smiled or engaged with the chef or any table mates. As we looked around the entire restaurant, we were surrounded by groups of families--including young children--who were doing the same thing--everyone glued to a phone in hand. We were the only 4 we could see who did not have our phones out (except for a fun photo or two). We enjoyed our dinner and conversation with each other. Our chef was entertaining and seemed to appreciate our engagement with him. Our service was good and the food was exactly as expected. I doubt, however, that we will be back there soon. So unfortunate the social skills that are lost and the rudeness exhibited toward hardworking people. It makes me sad to write this review. It was quite a wake up call to our whole group. It was not the service that turned us off, but the clientele.

They had two armed guards outside the restaurant and one inside. Kind of scary....
