Il propose 15 sortes de pâtes fraîches faites à la main, 12 heures par jour. Bencotto signifie bien cuit, ce qui correspond parfaitement à la nourriture italienne authentique. Le menu repose sur la simplicité et les plats ont le même goût qu'en Italie. Le Bencotto propose deux espaces différents : vous pourrez savourer votre repas dans le bar « kitchen-esque », en bas, ou vous détendre dans le coin repas intime au plafond bas, à l'étage. La décoration crée une atmosphère soignée et sophistiquée, où le charme d'antan et la chaleur se mélangent à la classe contemporaine.

    Great food, terrible service. Even forgot that we were there celebrating a 70th birthday. Forgot to bring things that we ordered. Disappointing.

    We chose to sit outside to enjoy the sunset over the ocean. The service was a little slow but it was a Saturday night on Little Italy in San Diego. My daughter had the gnocchi with pink sauce and it was a very large portion. She said it was delicious. I had to have the Caesar salad with the parmesan crisp which was amazing. My main course was the tortellini with the cream sauce and crispy bacon. It was rich and creamy and the tortellini were hand made and melted in your mouth.

    Unfortunately the meatballs seemed to be refrozen, and the Cesar salad came out within one minute, and you can tell it was pre-made, as it wasn’t freshly tossed salad. Really wanted to enjoy the experience but unfortunately the food didn’t seem to be made to order as one would expect from a restaurant in this area, especially Italian cuisine. Fortunately the service made up it as they comped our meals.

    Everything was delicious! Nothing compares to fresh pasta, and it was cooked to perfection! Everyone in our party enjoyed their sauces as well. I had the bolognese, and short of homemade, this was the best I've had.

    Absolutely phenomenal! I’m fully Italian, grew up in NY, and have been to Italy… this was one of the best Italian meals I’ve ever had. Osso Buco is a must get
