We had lunch for my daughter’s birthday. Food was very good. Staff were very courteous and competent.

We had a very pleasant meal at Benchmark. The food was tasty, attractively plated, served politely, and we all enjoyed our lunch tremendously! Thank you to the students at Benchmark!

It's hard to believe that more diners haven't discovered this excellent venue for it's food and service excellence. Because it's a teaching restaurant the overall pricing is pleasantly surprising for a 3 course meal. Wine and beer are from their adjacent brewery and wine cellars. From the food presentation to the quality of the ingredients they rival anything the region has to offer. The student servers are an example of how other restaurants in the area should be treating their clients. This venue is a must when visiting Niagara. Note to management and new diners : Although the restaurant is managed well it can't be said of the parking system the college uses since it is shared with the students year round. The restaurant has a limited number of "Reserved" spots in front that unfortunately do not tell you that it's for the restaurant. Other spaces are available via the restaurant desk which has it's own issue: On-line booking of a parking spot is not as fast as the very efficient by-law officers paroling the lots. We got ticketed 15 minutes after the on-line booking was made! That soured our initial impressions but the students' commitment to good food and service soon faded.

We were a table of four and we each enjoyed the $40 Three Course menu with $13 wine pairings. It was absolutely wonderful. Each course was plentiful and delicious! Seasonal and beautiful plates. This is a training restaurant for the college and the food could not have been more perfect. Our Server, Anjali, was lovely to speak with and did a wonderful job. She answered all of our questions and described the food with great detail. We tried tipping Anjali but she told us that tipping is not allowed. Thank you for the amazing service Anjali! Highly recommended!

The service was excellent but the choices on the current menu were not as good as usual. Too much shellfish on menu including the asparagus bisque. The prime rib was not as expected and some blocks were tough. The potatoes were very good. Dessert , strawberry parfait was disappointing as it was very tart. The cheese tray was ok however the crackers all had seeds which were unable to be eaten due to a medical concern.

Treat yourself to a wonderful lunch experience at Benchmark. The student-run restaurant runs smoothly, the food is delicious , and they feature wines and beers made on campus. We enjoyed everything from drinks to dessert! We will be back on future weekend trips to NOTL.

First time back to the restaurant since they were closed during Covid. It is always great to return to a familiar estabishment that I have been going for 20 some odd years. I will try to make this one short: Good: - warm hospitality and service received since the moment you arrive. Very attentive and sometimes overly attentive as all the servers were eager to help. - pricing - you can’t find $40 meal with 3 courses anywhere these days. - love the new screens that broadcast the actions from the kitchen. Improvements: - we miss the appetizer bread from the past. It unfortunately isn’t even an option if we are willing to pay for them. - portion is on the lighter side. My ribeye is about the size of two adult thumbs. I unfortunately had to venture to the outlet mall foodcourt for further fulfillment after the lunch. Suggest to increase the price for bigger portions. - duck confit was salty and dry, it almost felt like a similar dish in Chinese which is called dry salty preserved duck. Overall we were happy with our visit and we shall be back!

We have been patrons at Benchmark for lunch and also attended a wedding here. The food is interesting and delicious. We enjoy the culinary students’ enthusiasm. During this visit, we were a party of 5. Everyone ordered something different from the menu and everyone enjoyed their meal. I had seafood linguine. The sauce was not typical; it was like a broth and I enjoyed the lighter texture. My only criticism is that the dish included too many green peas. The dining room was full. It took a bit of time to place our order, but after that, the food service timing was good. We thought that the $40.00 menu was great value. The salads presentations were particularly beautiful. We registered online in advance for parking. It was easy and close to the restaurant entrance.
