Le Beatrix est un restaurant, café et lieu de rencontre de quartier situé à River North, à Chicago. Ses chefs Susan Weaver, Rita Dever et John Chiakulas ont élaboré un menu inspiré des plats concoctés dans le laboratoire de cuisine du Lettuce. Unfortunate service as the food was fantastic. Waited 15 mins before drink order even taken and never got asked for a 2nd. Had to flag out server down anytime we wanted anything despite him walking by our table on way to kitchen frequently. Again, food was dynamic! Especially for a gluten free option. However service makes everything when it comes to dying out!

As always, great and healthy option food. The GenX soundtrack playing is great for the background ambience.

It was a wonderful experience. The food was amazing. We ordered off a gluten-free menu which had a lot of choices, even in the appetizer and dessert sections. It was a lovely evening so we sat out on the patio. The wine menu was quite robust, and we had a lovely Chablis. The service was also very good. Our server was attentive and helpful without being overbearing.

I had a mushroom and quinoa burger which was spot on. It came with fries that appeared to be the cheap frozen kind with quite a few bruised ends. They were perfectly fine but slightly disappointing given the overall standard of the restaurant and the food they served. Plus they didn't have any malt vinegar. I asked the waiter for some and he said he'd check, but he never came back after that. Again, just small points. I've eaten there before and the standard of the food and service was exceptional, so I was expecting the same. They had a nice selection of soft drinks which was great as I rarely drink alcohol. Most places just offer Coke products in a plastic glass, so it was a refreshing change to have decent choices served in an actual glass. I would recommend this restaurant and I will definitely be back!

The worst dining experience yet in Chicago for us. Our server was not happy we showed up!!
