The Bay Street Bistro is an eclectic restaurant and art gallery serving French, Italian and American cuisine, as well as displaying the areas most talented artists.

The Bay Street Bistro is your destination for top quality dining in a relaxed atmosphere, located conveniently in downtown Lakeland, FL. We pride ourselves on making everything possible from scratch, using the highest quality ingredients we can find!

We are also available for private bookings, dinner parties, business meetings and catering for your next event.

Bay Street Bistro is our favorite place for a special meal while in Florida. The Muscles la Creme is by far my favorite appetizer and have it every time we visit. We also had escargot which was also very good. My wife had one of the duck dishes, while I had the prime ribeye. Both were wonderful. We ordered, and ate, too much and had to get our dessert to go. If Creme Brule is one of favorite desserts and it is hard for us to not get it when available. Taking it to go ruins the presentation, but our server did his best to pack it for us.; We loved it when we finally ate it later that night.

It was great, great atmosphere, food was great, wife got the duck,I got the salmon, would recommend it to anyone,we will definitely be back!!

I had family visiting from up North and I told them I wanted to take them to my hidden gem in Lakeland Florida and Bay Street bistro did not disappoint. The food, the service. Everything was above board and I was glad that my family members had a great experience

We like to go early for dinner because it gets very noisy as more people fill the dining area. The food is excellent with many choices on the menu. The presentation of the food makes your entrée choice even more appealing. Great atmosphere, clean and appealing restaurant. We highly recommend and appreciate having a quality dining experience in our town.

Well, now I know why you can usually get a reservation here. I have been pushing my wife to give this place a chance for quite some time. As Lakeland residents for our 39 years of marriage and regular high end foodies, we haven’t eaten here in several years so I pushed tonight to try it. Unfortunately we were disappointed. My wife got the Shrimp & Cappellini which was the biggest disappointment of all. The dish was delivered with only three overcooked shrimp and a pile of soggy over done pasta. When she mentioned this to the waiter, she shrugged it off as normal. On top of this their website said this dish was $44, but the actual price was $55 for overcooked shrimp and soggy pasta. In fairness the entree does include salad, but this is still well above the price point of other, far more superior restaurants in Lakeland and even Tampa. My Osso Bucco was average with an ample portion. The poached pear salad was the best dish and very tasty. When we mentioned our disappointment regarding my wife’s dish when paying, our unprofessional, untrained waitress said she would send someone out. However, a different waitress simply came out to drop off the bill without even a word. I was hopeful that the Bay Street Bistro would shine and become one of our regular dining options in Lakeland, but unfortunately this experience ensured that we won’t be back. You can get better food and value elsewhere.
