As Las Vegas locals, we haven’t been to Battista’s in a long time. It is right in the middle of the strip and can be difficult to get to and park at. We found this to be the case for a Saturday night, 6:15 PM reservation. We were seated almost immediately in a small room right off the bar that only had 5 tables. And where was a “wet wood” smell throughout the restaurant. It was not the best place to sit. Our server, Frank, was very pleasant and we enjoyed having him as our server, and tipped him well. But, all of the food was just fine. The garlic bread was a bit bland. The salad was just fine with an oily Italian dressing. The lettuce had long, chewy stems that were a bit of a pain. My wife ordered the pasta with meat sauce and I ordered the Chicken Parmesan. She rated her pasta a 6/10. There wasn’t a depth to the meat sauce. My chicken needed to be pounded thinner. And only 1/2 of the chicken had cheese on it. This can be a fun place for tourists. But locals have much better options for food, location, and can avoid parking issues. The dinner was not worth the price. There are many better places not far from here. Now we remember why we haven’t been back to Battista’s in a very long time, and unless we have friends in town that really want to visit, we will not be back anytime soon.

Awesome throwback to a different era of Vegas, and a rare place that isn't trying to upsell you on everything. The food was very good, the atmosphere was excellent for a place called "hole in the wall" and Kari was about as perfect as a server could be. She was nearby whenever I needed something, and took great care of me. The all-inclusive nature of the menu, including wine, is refreshing! I've walked past this place tons of times over the years, and wish I had tried it sooner.

We ate here as an alternative to the celebrity restaurants in the nearby hotels. This has got to be one of the best deals in town for a full dinner - bread, wine, soup or salad, entree (priced in groups, from simple pasta up through steak dinners) and a "cappuccino". I think the lowest tier group was $29.95, up through $49.95 for the top tier. They have gluten free pasta for an additional charge, and you can have salad w/o croutons. Garlic bread and soup (minestrone with pasta) are a no if you are GF. The food was very good. Minestrone was typical, large bowl; garlic bread was soft, fresh; wine was chianti style red (white available); salad was ordinary with strong Italian dressing and salami and cheese. We had the sausage cacciatore (delicious sauce with large chunks of peppers, tasty though unusual sweet Italian link) and ribeye steak (large thin - pounded? - steak, tender, perfectly seasoned and cooked, served with potato and green beans, both simple but cooked properly, and side of pasta with choice of sauce). The regular marinara on the pasta side was pretty good - I've had many worse. The "cappuccino" was sweet and served with whipped topping - my dh compared it to a hot chocolate. Delicious, but needs quotation marks. The restaurant has an old school Italian (east coast style) vibe, perhaps could use an update or refresh even if in the same exact style. Dark, on the quieter side. Service is impeccable, extremely warm and nice, very high end. Lots of servers - host seated us promptly, captain brought water, waiter took orders, runner delivered food. We were checked on often, water refilled. If you are hearty eaters, want a steak dinner without breaking the bank, or want that old school vibe with quiet excellent service, this is the place. I'd go back, but probably wouldn't get the sausage cacciatore again - I'd like to try the chicken parm or meatballs, or another steak dish (there is steak piazzola and steak Caruso on the lower and moderate menus, too).
